Still great but not as good as it once was

Even if the sushi is still great, and creative, and using amazingly fresh fish, it was better before. As the turnover of the (famously portuguese) chefs and staff has remained high, this can be understandable, but it would be a real shame if it keeps getting worse. The biggest negative change is... read more

Fancied seafood as a seaside town should excel at this. As expected it wasn't a disappointment. Nice layout and lighting on arrival. Very friendly waitresses, ours had lived a year in London so was very chatty throughout the evening in general and really helpful with the recommendations and translations. Food was very tasty and well presented, nice mixed platter including... More

I am a regular and simply love the Atamaki. A bit expensive. The surroundings and service is okay. Nothing more. But the food is excellent. Stay clear of the big set menues. Choose the regular.

Here you get the best sushi in the world. Not only judged by taste, but also from the food's appearance. What you eat here is artwork. It's fun to see that they are experimenting with North Norwegian ingredients such as whale and halibut. I will come back here? Of course!

We were lucky to get a table as this place is clearly popular with the locals- and we could see why! Service is excellent and the food top notch. We opted for the Tromso special and were delighted by the 'surprise' platter they brought to the table - in my husband's words: "it's just so fresh". Highly recommended.

We arrived in Tromso on a Monday and had not planned our dinner for the evening. We made a quick call and there were no issues with our last minute request to arrive within the hour. We had spent the previous 2 nights in Bergen where we focused on local cuisine but we also love our sushi. We were not... More

We had dinner and a few drinks here and it was, without a doubt, the freshest food we ate in Tromso. As I am particularly fussy about meat, I ordered a vegetarian platter and was immediately offered a vegan platter in case this suited me better. The food was fresh, delicious and satisfying. The condiments were equally fresh and the... More

Really good sushi. A bit expensive compared to "take away sushi" from other places, but this is so much better. Would recommend a combo solution where you get a little of everything (if you are more then 1 person...).

From where I am from, sushi is rather common but i suppose the prices are reasonable and you get to have the local sashimi. the interesting part is how they would infuse certain fruits with the sushi. Would recommend you to try the sashimi only.

I ate at this restaurant some years ago. And I was not impressed. These last years I've heard so many good things about this restaurant, I had to try it again. Service: We had to wait a couple of minutes to get seated. It's fine but we were placed right by the door, even tho' only 30% of the tables... More
