We had a lovely meal here! We started the meal with proseco. My husband had the chef's suggestion....three courses for around KON 595. First course was a very large serving of muscles, prawns and king crab. Very fresh! Next, a sort of fish casserole. Then creme brulee. The creme brulee was OK - not fabulous. But the rest of his... We managed to order a table some hours befor opening, same evening, but it was just accurate in time, a very popular place it seemed. The “dagens meny”, with halibut were very top quality and sooo delicious. The waitress were very helpful and the atmosphere great. Even though they were fully booked, everything seemed quiet and well organized. The chefs... More

Early PM en route home to dine on something better than airport food. Ordered fried Halibut but was served Monkfish and was blown away from the looks and tastes before I became aware of what kind of fish I was eating. A bit embarrasing to mention at that point. Water complemented the dish quite well. Tempted by the chocolate cake... More

My hubby found this restaurant on Tripadvisor, and we are so glad! The interior is modern and clean, and the food superb. Our son had a fish soup that he loved, and I had local caviar to start. The boys had monkfish for a main course, and I had king crab. The service was professional and friendly. The fish fresh... More

I have been on this planet now for 60 years and we have visited many countries and restaurants around the world. I can honestly state that the fish (try the Halibut) I sampled was the best I have ever tasted. My wife totally agreed. My compliments to the chef and the excellent service from the staff. Hope to return one... More

We were recommended Fiskekompaniet when visiting Tromsø. We were not let down. The service was fantastic – the staff was very helpful and gave precise descriptions of the menu, really helping us making our decisions. And our food was brilliant. We had the big seafood menu, with two starters (a seafood salad and a lobster soup), a seafood platter and... More

The restaurant is located by the harbour and delivers such good Scandinavian food. Elegant decoration and helpful staffs. The food was fresh and cooked beautifully and I had probably one of the best desert I've ever had. For the standard of living expenses in Tromso and quality of the restaurant, the price is well worth!

We walked in having done no research but because it just looked like our kind of place and luckily it was. The welcome was cheering, staff speak and explain food in terrific English, and the service was excellent. As we know food is Norway is expensive by many travellers but here you will get a great experience. We had a... More

Visited with some friends based upon Tripadvisor reviews and was very happy with the food. The halibut in particular was out of this world. The restaurant is centrally located on the waterfront. Expect to pay around £100 / head for food and wine. Well worth it for quality, fresh seafood cooked perfectly.

We arrived when there were hardly any seats left, but staff found us a nice spot. Lovely modern scandinavian interior. Comfortable seats. We choose the chefs menu of the day. The starter and mains were well presented, and tasted very good. The dessert was an unremarkable crème brulee. For Norwegian standards, the menu was value for money. Friendly staff and... More
