Although the wine was very expensive (c£50 a litre) this was pretty standard for Norway. In spite of this the food was well presented, hot, varied and reasonably good value. Service too was good - we had a very pleasant evening here and would return.
Good Restaurant, staff was smiling, food was excellent!! We ordered pizza for the kids and rib eye for us We'll be back next christmas!
We visited this place nearly everyday. i'm not a fan of pizza, but I was eating it even twice. The backed potato was excellent. There is a nice small playground for kids and the design of Egon is fine for kids as well. So we could enjoy meal while our daughter was exploring cosy corners with Christmas trees and trolls.

Always overpriced but the staff was nice. Nice view of a stream and the town from the outside. If I had know of other restaurants in town, we would have went somewhere else.
Lots of Pizza and fast food, more like a fridays than a restaurant. Undercooked carrots, awful greek salad, nasty dressing on salad on plate. Messed around nasty food.
Inside you see very thick rock walls - , massive beams, giant millstones, and tools from the old mill days. Very cosy place to eat both for a romantic couple as for groups. Staff is very proffesional and friendly.. It is located in the heart of Lillehammer...
The make good pizzas (deep pan/American style) but otherwise dont expect a gourmet meal although some other dishes were OK.
Apart from the wonderful location by the thundering waterfall, this Egon does not differ much from its counterparts elsewhere in Norway, the same menue and interior style, but the service was excellent and , as always, the food was good and plentiful.
