This is a true Gem. It is cozy (gemütlich), the food is good and the service was friendly. It is of the beaten path, so it is not overflowing with tourists. Be sure you make a reservation a few days in advance since it does book up. It has some traditional Viennese dishes from "Überbackene Schinkenfleckerl" (noodles with ham au... More

Excellent portions. Pumpkin soup was amazing. Very large schnitzel. Careful not to over order. A bit too dark. Suggest they increase lighting.

Having read the reviews I made a booking at Wiener for myself and three business colleagues for a Sunday evening in October about two weeks ago. Despite a confirmation just a couple of days beforehand, the restaurant was closed when we arrived, with a sign on the door that there was a function - there was certainly no sign of... More

Being Viennese myself I have to say this is my favourite restaurant in Vienna. You find the greatest variety of Austrian cousine and the food always has superb quality. You will not be disappointed.

Having a Wiener Schnitzel in Vienna is an absolute must. This place serve an excellent one and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Great place and definitely not a tourist trap.

Schnitzel! The restaurant is exactly what you'd expect when you think of a traditional Austrian establishment. It has vaulted archways throughout and dark beams and paneling on the walls, but then mixes in a lively vibe and a thorough cocktail menu. Our group of four tried a variety of different entrees...my favorite was the minced veal, but the schnitzel was... More

We booked to go here on a Saturday night and because of the lovely weather sat outside. The food was superb, my wife said that the potato soup was the best soup she'd ever had and the Wiener Snitzel & potato salad was to die for. The service for the main course was a little slow, which one of the... More

We headed here based on TA reviews but there was no one inside at 8pm so went to find somewhere else. We were back at Wiener 15min later and entered to find there were a few people dining so joined them in the very stylish but comfortable interior. We were greeted by a charming and charismatic waiter who provided perfect... More
