Nice place and good food

I have been there a couple of times. The ground floor is a bar and upstairs are tables where you can have your meal. I like the ambiance. It's a little darker than other restaurants, a little rustic and old fashioned but still nice. The food is good and i've been there with a group of friends... read more

Nice restaurant for some reasonably priced food and beers. The pulled pork nachos were awesome!! Wish i would've gotten it as a main dish! Good beer and enjoyable atmosphere. Smoking is allowed downstairs at the bar, but the upstairs dinning area is pretty nicely sealed off, so it wasn't a problem. Right around the corner from the Haus Der Musik.... More

We had difficulties finding a casual environment to have a few beers in Vienna. It seemed like everything in the old part of town was a little more upscale than we were wanting. We stumbled upon this place and felt like we were right at home. Great beer in a lively, but not too loud atmosphere.

We sat upstairs because smoking is allowed on ground level. We have ordered regular Ale beer which seemed cloudy but tasted very good. The meal we had was also delicious and very well worth for the money. I definately recommend this place.

They have 5 different beers on tap all from their own micro brewery. All were splendid beers. They come in 0,1 liter sizes if you want to taste em all. Loved their ipa's. The ribs were above European average as well and there was more than I should have eaten :)

We visited this restaurant with my parents who aren't particularly adventurous when it comes to eating. Accordingly we were looking for somewhere we could order traditional Viennese food as well as comforts of home. Fortunately this place catered to our needs and we all ended up with meals we thoroughly enjoyed. The portion sizes were good and the menu was... More

The beer choices were quite decent. However they allow smoking inside and there was cigarette smoke everywhere. So second hand smoke fills the air and made for an unpleasant air quality level. I'd skip it unless you are a smoker. The place is popular and filled with friendly folks that love to smoke.

It was awsome! The staff is nice, the pub has a micro brewery with many nice beer. The food is suit with the beer: gulash, hot wings, bbq ribs and great burgers!

First of all, a great pub atmosphere. Smoking is allowed on the ground floor; plus. Staff are like Speedy Gonzaleses. And the baby rib was so tasteful and enogh for 2:).

Lively, friendly, packed place but as a visitor from the US it felt too close to the ubiquitous casual sports bars/restaurants back home (but with fewer TVs and better beer). We only ordered beers, which were very good, but saw lots of burgers, wings, ribs, etc being served. Vintage advertising signs and sports memorabilia like in chains in the US... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
