Great buzz.

What a fantastic institution. This is a place that serves tourists well, you get quality food, a good range of excellent beers and all this is provided with friendly service. Whilst this place obviously has more tourists than locals, it was good to see many workers come in for drinks and snacks... read more

I love the beer and the atmosphere, always full of tourists and the staff is reallyy friendly. The food is pretty great too. It's nothing special though, just a normal popular pub in the centre of vienna.

The first time I went there was for lunch, there weren't many people and we at on the first floor. Very good interior, nice food and delicious ribs. They prepare the ribs with some tomato sauce and then they bake them- this makes them juicy enough. You can smoke inside. The next time I went for dinner and I made... More

Great food, one of the best home made beers, the Belgian IPA was my favorite, great service. Good there with an empty stomach.I always use trip advisor on holidays and this find was perfect.

Nice variety of beer! Great comfort food too!. Go upstairs and at the top of the steps to the left is a small room for about 8. Try to grab it, its like your own little Oktoberfest!

We stopped here for their renowned home-brewed beers and a substantial lunch from a reasonably priced menu. The pub itself is very attractive inside with quirky features. The beers ranged from average to very good (the IPA); the food was enjoyed if not exceptional. We particularly liked the wedges and the hot wings. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall cost... Lively place with good food at a cheap price and the beer is also quite tasty. They offer no smoking area up stairs and a large outdoor sitting area..

Visited this place three times at July 2015. You need to taste beers from last page of the bar menu. Strongly recommended.

The 1516 brewing company offers some 6 different beers they brew on the premises. Mostly the drinks failed to be exciting or different, but were just Austrian beers. Several of the beers on the menu were out. But if you are in visit wiena, you should come here

Have been with friends at 1516 Brewing Company. The food was okay but the service was like none. The waitress was not even giving an answer when we orderd drinks and it was not one of them, all acted like it was there fist day and they had a hangover. I was not even really finished and one of them... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
