This restaurant is very close to the Hofburg palace. It is housed in a big greenhouse type building that shares a glass wall with the butterfly museum next door. We could actually see some of the butterflies flitting around next door while we ate. The food was very good, as was the service.

The food and service here are very good, if a bit pricey, but the setting is the real star. Housed in a glass structure that was once a tropical greenhouse overlooking the Burggarten, it's a delightful spot for a leisurely, traditional Viennese dinner. Even better when the weather allows outdoor dining. Prices are steep, but the wine list offers some... More

Having spent the day on our feet, and not quite ready for dinner yet, my finance and I grabbed a seat outside overlooking the park for a drink. Given that my beloved doesn't drink wine or beer, he had been struggling to find something interesting to drink in Austria so opted for the fresh lemonade which was very refreshing. I... More

We checked into the Hotel Sacher and walked about 5 minutes to a beautiful large park and discovered the most unique, large, atrium inspired restaurant named the Palmenhaus. Our party was 3 adults and 2 children and the restaurant entertained all of our needs. There is a long bar area and several dining areas to choose from, plus several tables... More

Great Salmon and Cheese Dumplings and when you add the pea soup and the broiled branches of cherry tomatoes and the palm tree atmosphere - a great place to go.

The food was amazingly good, we had a deep sea fish with some pasta. Both dishes were excellent. The service was a little slow, however we went there at the end of the day, close to closing time. We would go there again.

While in Vienna one should really have a true Wiener Schnitzel. I had one at the Palmenhaus restaurant. It was very nice and the location is great too, right in the Park. Both inside and out are great here.

Sat on a Monday late afternoon with a couple of friends. Lots of tourists, the place was packed, but admittedly the scenery is very monumental (close to the Hofburg and some museums, nice park). The waiters do not fluff about, service was v good. It was not the most comfortable seating with loads of tables squeezed in a rather small... More

We ate here a couple of times on our trip and liked it a lot. Good service and tasty food. Fun to sit out on the terrace and people-watch on a sunny evening.

We stopped in for drinks on the patio on a beautiful Vienna afternoon. Fabulous location and good service. I don't think I would have minded just having to sit here all afternoon.
