We stopped in for drinks on the patio on a beautiful Vienna afternoon. Fabulous location and good service. I don't think I would have minded just having to sit here all afternoon.

It is still an excellent restaurant and the vaiety of food options is great. The beer could be a bit colder though.

It's was our 3rd time having lunch at Palmenhaus but still we were very disappointed by the bad service. The waiter was talking loud to friend of him that joined the terrace with a dog, while serving at our table. Also during our lunch the person's dog was making a lot of noise and it seems that no one was... More

Had a lovely lunch here - fairly typical Austrian menu, but fish was good. Meal was made special by the beautiful setting and great servicea

Located between Hofburg Palace and Albertina, offers a variety of drinks and meals. Tried the mint lemonade and would highly recommend. The melange was nice too. Food is average. Service could be better, as waiters take their time to serve you.Would return for a relaxed coffee or mint lemonade.

Still for me at least by far and away the best lunch place in central Vienna. The location opposite the Burggarten, no traffic, splendid terrace, great food (light, creative, reasonably priced and not too 'Austrian', i.e. on the heavy side…) - but recently the service hasn't been that great - too often the waiters go off somewhere for a smoke... With Austria sweltering, shade, comfort and beauty were very welcome this week in Vienna. The Palmenhaus provided all three along with the very good and intentionally light lunch and dinner we had here (close to our hotel) the past two days. Polite attentive service, imaginative summer drinks and cucumber soup, poached asparagus and salmon made for enjoyable and tasty food.... More

Found in the former Palm House/butterfly garden of the Hofburg Palace, this restaurant and outdoor cafe is just a wonderful place to enjoy the ambiance of the gardens outdoors facing the palace or indoors with amazing atmosphere. Service was good, and our light lunch was totally delightful. We sat outside in the sun and combined our enjoyment of the meal... More

Located in former palm house, a huge glass and metal structure housing palm trees. I'm guessing 30 feet/10 meters high, and I could be low on that. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Interesting daily choice of apertifs, but I would guess they were .2 liter. I had a mango and proseco. Dinner was good. I had the... More

Palmenhaus is absolutely gorgeous. Although it was warm enough to eat on the terras, we prefered sitting inside to enjoy the beautiful greenhouse with the plants. Absolutely a top location to have lunch. I had asparagus with salmon and my boyfriend chose a Wiener Schnitzel. Food was ok, but nothing special. The food arrived rather quickly which made me think... More
