Loved the food!

I went here for lunch and found that the service was a bit slow in the beginning, but once my food was ordered it came out quite quickly. The food was very good and I would recommend stopping in for a bite.

We had dinner here on our last night in Vienna and the food was excellent. Deciding to dine early, we called in without a reservation and were seated immediately. The waiting staff were all very friendly and attentive, and, if anything, a little too prompt in their attentions. Having brought us a delicious appetiser, we had barely finished it when... More

Large group of about 15 on business. Without reservation for outside we did well to secure and pull together several tables. Staff accommodating. Service good. Nice glass of unfiltered lager. Bottles of Gruner veltliner very agreeable! Octopus carpaccio starter was enjoyable and light. Sea bass from special menu with a curried sauce was tasty, well cooked, light and just what... More

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff are there :) I'd like very much the Sacher cake, which was delicious. Also hot chocolate was good in this restaurant. It's best to come there in the day when it's cloudy, then it would be not very warm in here :) but it's still good place to go in every season, even in summer... More

I had brunch here with friends and must say this is a delightful spot filled with lots of natural light helpful waiters. Breakfast was typical Viennese style but nicely presented. The cakes are to die for.

We had afternoon tea firstly then returned for dinner on a Saturday night. It was busy both times & despite a reservation we had to wait 20 minutes to order our meal. The waiter did apologise. The food & Austrian white wine were excellent as was dessert. The location: a Palm House is quite unusual & indeed rather noisy too.... More

it is a beautiful place, but unfortunately, it is a typical tourist trap and has arrogant employees/manager. yesterday, it was our first visit to the Palmenhaus and we were really looking forward to it. it was sunny, but quite a cold morning, so when we arrived around noon we wanted to sit on the patio enjoying the sun and the... We dined here for dinner after seeing a recommendation on a website about Vienna. Easy to find, gorgeous setting and excellent food. Portions of the mains are very big. Good cocktail list and very nice Austrian wines. Friendly staff as well. Would definitely dine here again. Could also be very nice during the day in spring or summer as they... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
