This is in the old palace green house, nest to the butterfly garden. Terrific atmosphere, really good food, busy, touristy. We really enjoyed ourselves. Did not disappoint. Would recommend you try it.

The history of the building is fascinating and the interior was stunning. Of course, the purpose of a visit to a restaurant is the food. I found my experience to be opposite of some other reviews. Service was good, food was fresh and quickly served, and I did not have to wait forever for the check as it arrived on... More

We went to the Palm house for a lunch, we had soup and a cake both of which were very good. It would have been nice if we were offered bread with the soup. Service was slow and it took an age to get the waiters attention to get served and for the bill. If the service was better they... More

The weather was warm and the sun was shining when we went here. We sat in the sun by the conservatory and drank tea and ate their excellent cakes! Bliss!

Read some of the reviews and was less than confident. But got have to say this was our best meal in Vienna. The beautiful building was worth the bill alone. A little on the expensive side but some of the food was top quality. Highly recommend the starter of pear , Gorgonzola , and salad. But the lamb with curried... More

One of my "loves" in Vienna. The scenery is magic especially in morning when the day is sunny. I love all these plants and trees. Of course food is tasteful, but a little expensive.

The Palmenhaus unfortunately did not meet our expectations. The restaurant does not compare to the beautiful pictures offered online. Instead, it felt like we walked into an old, dilapidated scene with the good times already behind by years. The building has beautiful bones and structure that is not matched with its furnishings and ambience. The décor is very old, in... More

My husband and I had lunch here. The lunch selection is very limited - 2 mains that I think remain unchanged for a while - pasta dish and veal saussage with grilled vegetables. For 14 Eur you can have the main with a soup or dessert. Bit up there. We opted for the saussage. The portion wasn't big but it... More

The restaurant is in a greenhouse that's part of the Hofburg Palace compound. So be prepared for large tropical plants looming over the table as part of the atmosphere. Awesome food, great service, good wine and very local--we had a late, many course lunch on New Years Eve and seemed to be the only folks speaking English. my husband and... More
