Perfect end to a visit to Vienna

Ate here on the last day of a 4 day visit. Lovely food and drinks, try the Bellini it is amazing. We had the best waitress Maria, who made our lunch that much nicer with her lovely energy and smile.

We were recommended to go here for a coffee as the building it's in is historic and beautiful. Unfortunately this place is BEYOND overpriced (€5 for water). Huge tourist trap. The decor isn't even pretty inside. The building is much more beautiful from the outside. Keep it at that.

Whenever I visit vienna, I always stop at the Palmenhaus, at least for a glass of wine. I love it especially, when the weather is sunny. In spite of the environment, the food and the pastry are really tasteful. Don't miss it!!!!

Had lunch on a Saturday which means it was very busy. The place is beautiful, the food is OK, and there are lots of people and families. Nothing spectacular but on a good weather day, it is a very nice option.

For a well known place in the center of things, with the added attraction of a greenhouse setting, this place served really good food. My husband an I both had fish: I had the grilled branzino and he had poached sea bream and they were both superb. Light, flavorful, served with some veggies on the side. It was just what... More

Interesting setting in an old atrium/greenhouse with a lot of palms. The ceilings are quite high so it gives you that open air feeling and I imagine quite beautiful in the daytime. The lamb was pretty good and the service was adequate but not wonderful.

I recently went back to Palmenhaus, this time to meet friends for brunch. We had a peculiar waiter in that one moment he was quite friendly and then the next he returned to Vienna-Coffeehouse arrogance, but overall he was quite amusing. Brunch is very good and I really like the way they make their omelettes. The interior is always a... More

After a lovely morning admiring the pomp and grandeur of the Hapsburg Palace, we wandered into this lovely art nouveau- esque space. Like eating in the Bronx Botanical gardens conservatory! Lunch featured veal wiener schnitzel bigger than my bike helmet! A special pasta with goat cheese. We thought we ordered wine but got fresh new cider instead! Lovely place!

This is a stunning location, made more so by wonderful food and outstanding service. Loved every minute of it and would definitely make it a 'must' if and when I return to Vienna.

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
