Nice setting

We came here for an afternoon break after walking through the city. We had hot drinks and cakes. We had a sachertorte and a plum tart which were excellent. This restaurant is located in the complex's gardens Hofburg, is a great way to end the morning and stop for lunch. It has a beautiful view and great service. The food is very good, I ate a deer shnitzel and was great.

It's a green house. I ordered fish after eating meat dishes for almost a week. Food is good and the wine list is extensive.

The atmosphere here was good, and the service was good as well. Although the price was not cheap, but it is still okay for a cup of coffee and a cake, Nice place, will plan to have another visit!

Went for cocktails and was not disappointed. All lit up at night which creates a great ambience. Prices were OK compared to most places and service was good. Beats most other bars for its setting and easy to get to in the centre of the town.

The location of Palmenhaus is beside a beautiful park, which is very convenient to enjoy a walking or sunshine when it's sunny. And what made it famous is its unique palm trees tropical view and large greenhouse building, so even the food and drinks are average, but its special atmosphere makes it worthy to take a break in. Service quality... More

On our last night in Vienna, my wife and I ate here for dinner. I was really surprised how inexpensive the meal was for the good quality and excellent wait staff. If you're eating for dinner, make sure to request a table by the window so you can see activity outside and watch the sun disappear slowly.

This restaurant is located in a green-house within a 5 minute walk from the Opera house. The food is "organic". The service is friendly and quick. A variety of breakfast options are offered, and all the food is prepared fresh and is a good value for money.

Good brunch, very good service, excellent coffee. Location os breathtaking - every thing works here. Opposite of Cafe Central (a horrid tourist trap) in every respect. Would come back anytime.

A beautiful building with a terrific atmosphere. The palm trees and other vegetation gives a feeling of dining out in the tropics. It would have been no surprise to see parrots and butterflies sharing the space with us. The food was excellent - when In Vienna etc - I had the Wiener Schnitzel. It was excellent and huge, overlapping the... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
