This gem is tucked away in the palm house in the Hofburg palace complex. It's an easy walk from the palace and opera but provides a respite from the chaos of all the tourist traps in the area. Our servers were friendly and spoke excellent English. We both had the smoked duck and found it to be delicious. We loved... More

I met with friends at this amazing place. The service was super friendly and the food was great. My friends had venison which they found delicious and my pumpkin ravioli were also nice. I would recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back.

We stopped for lunch at this amazing building set in a small park. Short but interesting menu with daily specials, it would probably described as modern Austrian cuisine, service slick and efficient. Food was good but the Palmenhaus really scored with me because it provided a proper pot of tea, using high quality leaves in lovely china.

My wife and I had lunch here. Good food, nice staff, quick service. Cool atmosphere. Would eat here again.

When you get your check at the Palmenhaus, you’ll find a charge labeled “Gedeck / Cover” buried between your drinks and your entrées. When I asked what this was all about, my waitress pointed to the fine print at the bottom of the menu which said that it was for the “use of the table and a basket of bread”... More

This place has what I would call a pretty standard new European menu, with the odd nod to 'Mitteleuropa'. But the food is well up to standard and, for a place of this quality, not that expensive. But the main draw here is, I suspect, the venue - the old Imperial palm house, now a large and well-run brasserie, but... More

A lovely place to go at any time. Just a drink, brunch, lunch, dinner. Family, friends, business. Its the old Palmenhaus connected to the Imperial Palace in the heart of Vienna. Basically, the place where they stored the Imperial palm trees in winter. A very large, very beautiful greenhouse. In summer you can sit outside (under shade) or inside (where... More

We enjoyed our diner and the location was great, but a shared appetizer, two entries, and one bottle of wine was $171 US. This was the most expensive dinner we had on our trip and just was not a good value.

Il is worth dining in this restaurant even just for the amazing architetture and feel. Dishes are anyway good quality for a fair price.

Went there our first night (of three) and went back our last night. The food, service, wine and ambiance were all wonderful. The price was moderate and a value. It was a short, enjoyable walk from the Pensionn Suzanne, were we stayed.
