Romantic diner after a hard day

Cruising on the main street of Vienna, we were lookin' for a place to have our diner and then,as we just looked into one of its backstreets, Procacci was there! We had to wait for a table since we came without reservation but in the minutes of waiting, we could drink a nice Aperol spritz so these... read more

This is a great italian place in Vienna, Good food with good ingredients. The wine list had a variety of offers, with good wines at reasonable prices.

Relaxed but elegant atmosphere. Some of the dishes were very traditional (e.g the saltimboca was made with sage, but no cheese) and some were unusual and modern. (Chocalate soufflé was more like a ganache with ice cream and berries.) all was delicious. Wine was outstanding. They actually had a 1999 Chianti Reserva by the glass.

I was hesitant at first reading the review that they charged for tap water. This isn't true we had a pitcher of it and there was no charge. The cover which includes some cut up vegetables and fantastic bread is well worth it, in addition the mustard dip is wonderful. We had 2 octopus salads which were the best we've... More

We were in a group of 3 and decided to sit outside which was very cozy. Ordered Chanti wines from there long list of wines they have and enjoyed it so much that ordered another one between the 3 of us, followed by a few wine by glass. The food from squid, cheese platter, seafood risotto to cold cuts were... More

We found this restaurant late afternoon and reserved a table in the alley just alongside. We eat at 8 and were welcomed as 'old' regulars. We shared 2 starters for the 2 of us; one 2 star: the carpaccio but made up for by the 5 star homemade tagliatelle with truffles. We followed this with grilled 'squids'....excellent. Being a bit... It begins with a very limited wine list of only Antinorri branded wines that are marked up triple. The food is even more disappointing. Over sauced, cold and clumsily served. The veal was floating in brown gravy and the bolagnese was barely enough to moisten the pasta. We would have been disappointed even if this was a casual trattoria, but... More

The venue itself is nice and in the heart of district 1 so very central. I ordered a seafood pasta dish aldente and I must say it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. My friend had angelotti (not too sure of spelling) stuffed with ricotta cheese and spinach and the pasta dish was exquisite -... More

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
