Why fight the crowds on Vienna's busiest streets when this pleasant wine bar and restaurant is just steps away, with its own "sidewalk" section on charming Göttweihergasse, a narrow pedestrian alleyway running between Spiegelgasse and Seilergasse? It's a great place for lunch, a late-afternoon glass of wine, dinner and probably late-night, too. We couldn't help but notice Procacci's enormous, trendy-looking... More

When we arrived they managed to reorganise everything so we got a nice table in the sun just on the sidewalk, very nice. They also have a good champagne list so we ordered a nice bottle of Ruinart blanc de blanc and they also served some nice snacks to the champagne. If you are into drinks in Vienna you won't... More

Perfect closure of an Italian Food week. Food was delicious and the wine as well. Service how it should be.

Maybe it was the company, but I don't think so. This restaurant is simply boring. Interior and the waitstaff are a bit fussy. The food is only average. We had some very sad looking green salads. My wine glass smelled like cigars. The waiters were annoyed when they brought the wrong wine to pour into my cigar flavored wine glass. We... More

found this gem by accident for a late night drink. The bar is very nice and the choice is vast. The bar is smoking as well. We liked it so much we came back again for lunch the next day. The food was very nice and the service as excellent. It was busy but we did not have to wait... More

For the price I expected the food to be sensational - it was distinctly average, not bad but have eaten at numerous restaurants for similar quality and paid half the price. Excellent service and nice atmosphere (although tables are too close together). Will not visit again

I spent there New Year's Eve, drinking champagne and smoking ciggarettes at the bar. It was absolutely perfect night. The service was quick, despite a lot of people sitting in the restaurant. It was quite modern place, but both the youth and older people were having fun there. However this restaurant is rather expensive, but you shouldn't be surprised. It... More

I've been there several times and it is always a great experience. Nice staff and quick service! Food is simply amazing. Little minus for desserts (even though they look great, the taste is not so good). But overall it's definitely worth visiting!

My wife and I had dinner here on New Year's. Based on reviews our expectations were not high, but it was one of the few restaurants open on New Year's, so off we went. While the place looks great--spiffy, shiny, and clean--it didn't even meet our somewhat low expectations. There's very little to choose from on the menu--4 or 5... More

Dear Mister CmBlanch, thank you for your review. We appreciate feedback - unless its aim were the personal insult of one of our team members. We do never accept that! We are always sorry for long waiting periods and we expressed our apologies on that evening as well. More

This fashioable Italian restaurant belongs to the Cantina Antinori group, so at least the wine list promises to be enjoyable. Situated in the heart of the city, it is popular both with locals and with tourists. The menu is rather short and lacks imagine. Apart from serving truffles with every other dish, there is nothing special. Pricing is definitely on... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
