Cosy is a word for cramped in some language and I guess there is an element of that in this review - I wasn't expecting Loos to be this small!! I don't think I've ever been in a bar this small!! It's got character oozing out of every corner... It won't be for everyone as it's smokey (they still allow... More

A bar like they should be.A real american bar with very good service, drinks and ambiente. Very polite and guest-oriented staff although a bit overpriced in my opinion. Would very much like to go there again.

An iconic destination for anyone interested in either American bars or amazing architecture. One of the first examples of Art Deco, it has been beautifully preserved.

We decided to go in there for a drink before dinner and quickly remembered that we were not in America anymore. The place is very small and pretty cozy but the major problem is the fog and the smell of smoke from the cigarettes. I totally understand that this is Europe and that most places are smoker friendly, but in... More

When I first visited the Loos Bar in 2003, I was very impressed with the décor, staff and amazing drinks. My return in the summer of 2014 was a big disappointment. Although the bar is as beautiful as ever, the staff were unfriendly and the drinks were uninspired. In fact, the bartender's primary occupation seemed to be preventing patrons from... More

Spent couple of hours vin Loos. Small but great bar and drinks were brill without being too expensive. Being small took a little time to find. Only has inside room for 20 people so were lucky to get seats

Let me confess right away that I have never tasted the food (other than the free bar nosh) in this establishment. But the American Bar designed by modernist architect Adolf Loos is my "go-to" place for this city's very best martini in one of its chic-est and coziest watering spots. No visit to Vienna would be complete without a stop... More

Our friend who loves Vienna urged us to go to this 'American" bar and we were skeptical but once inside this cozy tiny bar were glad we went. I had a "Presbyterian" manhattan and my husband had a cosmo. It was a welcome respite from the hustle bustle of Vienna. Great attitudes from the bartender and the waiter.
