Excellent, Austrian lunch

This restaurant is really cosy and decorated in a cool, Germanic way. Service is good and English is spoken. The food is great quality local food served in generous portions for a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our lunch here and I definitely recommend you give it a visit.

I am here in Vienna with my husband for our baby-moon! I am 22 weeks pregnant and our first time in vienna. The city is really beautiful. But this restaurant's manager is really pathetic. A poor excuse for a man. We went in to ask if there was a table for 2. They said they were full. But we saw... More

This place is a hidden gem and im so glad we found it! After going to TripAdvisor's number one restaurant and being incredibly disappointed, we found here and it was the best choice! The food here is amazing, I had snails for my starter followed by the steak stuffed with Camembert and ham with roast potatoes and oh my, it... More

I liked the interior a lot. It's typically Austrian and also serving traditional dishes. I think you won't be disappointed if you visit it.

We arrived early on a Saturday evening without a reservation and the restaurant was empty. We were seated fairly close to the front and as the restaurant filled up, each time the door opened cold air and cigarette smoke rushed in. The food was average and the service okay. The back part of the restaurant was interesting and warmer.

Great authentic Viennese food served in a cool atmosphere. Grilled pork chop and Wiener schnitzel with fried potatoes were very good.

We found this restaurant through tripadvisor reviews and it didn't disappoint. After searching for recommendations Pürstner came with amazing reviews and suggestions for what to order which we followed. The beer (original) was lovely and a little sweet, but accompanied our Schnitzel's really well. I had the Pork Schnitzel and my partner had the Corden Bleu (cheese and ham on... More

We began our trip to Vienna with dinner here. It was a charming and very local style restaurant. Service was very friendly and the hearty food was excellent and well priced. This is a perfect place to go for typical Austrian food...nothing fancy, just well executed, tasty food!

Typical Austrian food and ambience! The quality is excellent and service fast and friendly ! Price value is amazing , location just a few minutes away from Steffl and Hilton around the corner from Plachuta! A tip for tourists as no tourist trap!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
