We have visited this restaurant on three different occasion at very different times. The first, a couple of years ago, was with friends - residents in Vienna - at tea time after walking, without a reservation. We only wanted drinks but were fitted in and allowed as much time as we wanted.Last week, back in Vienna, we again turned up without... More

The place is very nice and warmly decorated, made us feel good and welcomed. Your personnel is very helpful and kind. The food, instead, was not as good as we expected to be. A friend of ours recommended you for the best spareribs they ever had. So we came with big expectations and left disappointed... It seemed to us they... More

When I lived in Vienna, this would be a haunt for my friends and I to gather at. When holidaying here in December I went again to this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food is great, I can not emphasise this enough. Figls restaurant is well known in the area for it's spareribs and a can agree with... More

The day was hot, the air-conditioning running, the windows open and the visit very uncomfortable. We had been to a more romantic setting in Grinzing years before and could not relive the same experience here. The food was very mediocre and the service 'by the way', no special attention or hospitality, very average. Unfortunately the old settings of each restaurant... More

Well, what can I say. Everything was fine if you are looking for a restaurant like they have in international hotels. Food is good, service is fine and nothing wrong with the place. But this is not great Austrian food but just good. I had a beef tartar to start with and it was the best part of the meal... More

Ok, Vienna is the place where you'd get delicious schnitzel and wine. Figls is the place you can eat the best schnitzel and on top of it you can try their other specialties like spare ribs and Figls beef burgers. Wine is great, it's their own Haus wine (I highly recommend their this years Gelber Muskateller) and you can get... More

The waiters are really attentive and polite. It is always nice and good to know to bring guests from abroad for good food and a pleasant time.

Staying in Dobling

Neighborhood Profile
Dobling
Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns, and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill – fantastic for great vistas of Vienna. The woodland around Kahlenberg has a wonderful and not too strenuous hiking path - just don't forget the insect repellent. If you have adventurous children, take them to Waldseilpark Kahlenberg (forest rope park Kahlenberg). A must-do if you want a taste of the Vienna Woods is a stop at Josefinenhütte next door with its great food, cosy interiors and wonderful outdoor space.
