Good Mexican food

Went here for a late , think we walked in on the staff having their own lunch. Service was fair , food came quickly and the portions were generous.

This was one of the most lively restaurant's/bar's that we visited in a fabulous area. It's a Mexican restaurant spread over two floor's ,unusual decor ,a colourful interior and great music playing, put's you in a great mood straight away. We were really lucky getting a table in this fantastic venue were we ordered a nice iced cold Steigl beer each... More

The food was ok. Very large portions. My cocktail was good. The waiter was very rude to start with and told us to order quickly as he was expecting a large table. His service got better towards the end. But had it not been we had a concert to attend we would have walked out and gone somewhere else

Salud/Mexican Cantina is a wonderful Mexican restaurant located in an area full of good pubs and bars.Went here after going to T.G.I.Fridays as it looked very inviting.Went in here and the first thing you notice is the interior which is very colorful with a strong Mexican influence great lighting and a great bar and bar area.Spread over a few floors... If you are looking for something different from the traditional local restaurants and you still want to be in the city center you can visit Salud. I saw the bad reviews on Tripadvisor but a friend of mine wanted to go there, so we went. And I was pretty surprised as the place was very nice, the service was good... More

I usually like the Mexican themed Restaurants, as such I tried this restaurant as well. The first thing I didn't like was that when we got there and told the waiter that we won't order any food, he was pretty unhappy with our decision. After that it took almost an hour to get some drinks. This is really a pity... More

Worst restaurant ever! Rude waiter/s; burnt nachos; radler in the glass although advertised as radler in the bottle, once mentioned to the waiter he claimed no such thing existed, we showed him the menu and he told us, well he is not a magician. I would consider it a tourist trap since it is in the first district. Toilets are... More

As another reviewer already mentioned, packaged dishes served on a plate. The potato wedges are seriously out of a frozen plastic bag and warmed up in a microwave. The nachos, I wouldn't feed my dog. The cheese is either burnt or still in a solid state. The "bottled" beer is actually from the tap. The waiter is a complete jerk,... More

We came across this restaurant by chance and were very glad we did. Great food, great service and a very reasonable price. If you're looking for something a little different to the Viennese cuisine, then try here, I think you'll enjoy it.

Why bother innovating with the cuisine of other countries if you cannot offer anything that does not come out of a bag, a can or a tub? Guacamole is not rocket science, just mashing a ripe avocado... If you fancy Salud's food save a lot of euros by buying packed nachos and salsa at the Hofer.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
