Exceptionally Good Food

We came across the Saigon by mistake, what a great find, especially for lunch. The food is unparalleled and very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is great as well. We have eaten 3 days in a row and we would go back again when we visit Vienna again.

Can't think of anything we disliked except we got there so late Sat night a wedding had taken possession so we had to wait until Sunday night to eat there - we all enjoyed it very much. (Sat night we had wurst at the only thing open with food, the wurst stand just down from hotel. Great!)

Once again we started to have craving for asian food after 2 weeks in Europe. We then found this place. Of course can't compare to food in Vietnam given the limitations in ingredients when one is away from the country, but it's good and authentic enough. Big portions and relatively cheap. We enjoyed it.

Loved coming here. Have become a regular. Great bowl of Pho. Love the KangKung too. My kids love the chicken satay which makes it a great place to bring everyone.

Omg! The foods here are all so awesome! I came there with my dad and we tried the mangoes there, awesome. The Springrolls are excellent and the "Bun Bo Hue" is splendidly tasty! I would meet the cutest waitress in the world, I would say that everyone who meets her could love the way she looks so enthusiasm with her... More

I really have to say that this restaurant is wonderful. Having arrived in Vienna I craved Vietnamese food and thought I would give this a go. The staff are very friendly. The menu is easy to understand and each dish that arrived was better than the last and there was also a delicious wine list. Even the bill was not... More

Probably the best pho I have ever had. Fresh delicious and the staff was wonderful and everything was bright beautiful and clean. Had Pho Ga also (with chicken) and delicious spring rolls. Was a cold day so it was just perfect.

We had a great meal at this restaurant. The starters were great -the summer rolls and the deep fried dumplings. We enjoyed the duck for a main course as well as the meat and vegetable noodles. They were both delicious. The pho was not as tasty as the broth was not such a great quality. However, the Chinese part of... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
