A yummy meal

We had a great meal at this restaurant. The starters were great -the summer rolls and the deep fried dumplings. We enjoyed the duck for a main course as well as the meat and vegetable noodles. They were both delicious. The pho was not as tasty as the broth was not such a great quality. However, the... read more

Probably the best pho I have ever had. Fresh delicious and the staff was wonderful and everything was bright beautiful and clean. Had Pho Ga also (with chicken) and delicious spring rolls. Was a cold day so it was just perfect.

Very good, very friendly. Nice spot in the heart of the city. The Saigon style grilled duck really nice. Just a nice, inexpensive restaurant.

Not the most atmospheric place (similar to a big city-centre Chinese restaurant in Britain), but large enough for you to stand a good chance of getting a table without booking. Service was excellent & the food exceeded expectations. Portions were gargantuan, but it wasn't just quantity over quality

I was first taken to Saigon invited by some Vietnamese friends. That's a good sign and I was pretty pleased with the food and service. Then I went with my family and also enjoyed it. I have very high expectations when it comes to Vietnamese food - I have been to the country many times! I can say that it... More

Had spicy duck and ginger prawns with steamed rice for lunch. Very tasty, good portions ànd service. Nice comfortable restaurant just far enough off the tourist hotspots to be good value also.

OK Vietnamese food (although I have high expectations coming from NY and Philly which has excellent options) with excellent service.

The foods here are all so awesome. I love the Crypsy Duck most, with stir-fried Rice with Egg... So good. And a small point of this restaurant is the small waitress girl with short hair and so cute smile, of course she is really kind and look so humorous... I would come back to this restaurant, when I am back... More

After a day in the Kunsthistoriches Museum which is amazing...we needed a fix of Oriental food on our way back to our hotel. We spotted the Saigon which looked good and the menu choice fantastic. We were seated in the quiet area and I know it's terrible but they spoke prefect English,we perused the extensive menu, enjoying a pre-dinner drink. We selected... More

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
