A fancy place popular among expats

Average value for money, which reflects maybe the number of expats, namely, from the former USSR, who are regulars there. As a pass-by it's OK, if you plan deliberately, there are many better places.

LeBol is an excellent little french style Bistro in the heart of Vienna. Conveniently located half way between State Opera an St. Stephen´s Cahtedral, just one block of "Kärntnerstrasse". It offers friendly staff, french atmosphere and excellent french Bistro style cuisine. Try one of the salads, they are really fantastic. Although it can get quite crowded during lunch time the... This is a return visit to both my favourite city and to a wonderful restaurant / coffee shop. I keep returning there the sevice and food remain first class - this time I had a salad on the one visit and a baguette on another - always the coffee outstanding and very quaintly served in a bowl. I shall continue... More

In a side street of Kärnter Straße you find this nice little french restaurant. Make sure to book in advance as it is always packed! It is an insider cafe you would not find in any travel book. A definite must order is the goats cheese salad "monsieur segouin"! it comes with fresh figs, grapes and two honey roasted goats... More

We heard great things about Lo Bol and were very excited to have brunch there this afternoon. We walked and took a table in the back. Since there were 6 of us, we pulled together two small tables that were already very close to each other. The server informed us that this was not allowed. She did so in a... More

We both had a salad and we both loved it! We were on a big table with 15 other people, what I didn't like, but it was still very good. Prices are ok for what You get.

Some locals brought us here and we're sure glad they did. It it a perfect place for good coffee, light fare, and visiting. As we'd arrived during the recent heat wave, I decide to try the mint lemonade. WOW! I could have sucked down a gallon. Not too sweet, not too sour--very refreshing. The light open face sandwiches. baguettes, and... More

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
