Cozy place for breakfast and afternoon coffee

It's a very nice, warm and cozy restaurant in the heart of Vienna. They serve french food and it's quite tasty! It's a good opportunity to visit for breakfast or for a later afternoon coffee or tea along with a delicious dessert! It's not very pricy but it's not cheap either. I would go again.

I have been to Le Bol several times purely because they have your typical French classic Bistro food, which is something I miss when I'm not in France. The service here is either a hit or miss, depending on who the waiters are. Some of them are incredibly friendly and attentive, especially those who notice when you come often to... More

The place is charming and very nice for a breakfast. The food was tasty and nicely served. I was there 2 days in a row, the service was ok, not the best. Even though not everything was perfect, the overall effect is very pleasant and I really liked the atmosphere and the food.

I popped in here for a bowl of soup and fresh bread. Perfect. Oh and I had a glass of wine! Service was great, food was quick to arrive. As an Australian traveller, I found this restaurant wasn't cigarette smoke filled (as many are), and was just what i needed.

We were staying at the hotel across from Le Bol and didn't want to eat breakfast at the hotel. I read some of the hotel reviews which recommends this place so we tried it. It was crowded but my husband and I were able to find seats at the big table in the middle within a few minutes. Service was... More

Stopped in for a quick coffee and cake, which was okay and priced about on par with your average tourist trap, but the service was laughably poor. Staff were quite rude, often ignored us, and seemed to resent even having customers at all. Would not go back and will be warning friends away in future.

Stumbled across this place by chance, came back three times. Nice coffee but the food is the standout! Simple French dishes for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner done well! A must for any visit to Vienna.

I loved this little cafe. The location is wonderful and the French food is delightful. It's not a tourist destination, so it was wonderful to relax and to take our time enjoying the wine and food. I tried soup, salad and quiche--you won't be disappointed with your choice. Would definitely go back.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
