Dinner for two

My wife and I visited on trip to Vienna We had the fixed price menu and asked them to choose wines by the glass to accompany the courses Superb meal and great service. The four courses were perfectly sized and the wine choice excellent Quit sophisticated old fashioned elegance

Disclaimer: I haven't even set foot into Vienna yet, let alone the restaurant, yet the reservation e-mail correspondence I've been having with this supposedly one-Michelin-star restaurant is literally atrocious and appalling. I asked extremely politely if they could reserve a table for us on a certain date, specifically asking if they could provide any birthday cake or dessert (since it... More

The restaurant is hidden on a small quiet street in the heart of District 1 in Vienna. Wonderful cozy interior. Excellent service. All dishes are simply delicious. Even simple Austrian dishes here look different. Wonderful wine list. I would come here again, even if the restaurant had no Michelin star.

This is a fine dining restaurant within the old town, not far from the cathedral. There was a buzzy atmosphere inside and the restaurant is well presented with white tablecloths and elegant place settings. The service was charming and the food very good; the set menu on the night we were there had lamb as the main course, which was... More

This is a good restaurant with good service and nice selections of Austrian dishes, but overpriced. One can find at least 50 similar restaurants in a circle of 2 miles with similar qualities and lower prices. our opinion - nothing exceptional

The food is OK, but way, way too expensive. We ordered pheasant, calf's head and a lamb dish. The dishes were double the price, half the size and in all-consuming gravy. Also, they did not have a high chair for the kid. There are plenty of places within 200 meter radius that beat this hands down:Lugeck and Figlmuller eg.

Recommended with a touch of awe by my hotel, my taxi dropped me off in front of a small door ... and I walked into a comfort zone of perfect service and gastronomic excellence. I have very high standards, rarely met, and this restaurant did. The sense of peace from impeccable Viennese service allowed the Chef Mike Feierabend & his... More

We went there the first evening we arrived after a long flight on a Friday, due to the fact the restaurant do not open on weekends like a lot of good restaurants in Vienna. Even though we were so tired, we still enjoyed tremendously our dinner. I had the venison, it was done to perfection. The service was friendly.

Very friendly and attentive service made good recommendations on wine from aperitif to digestif with the latter a true delight to finish the meal. Food was creative and all came with complex taste but well balanced. Chef is a true artist and every course is labour of love. Among those I tried, would recommend the cream of fennel soup and... We recently had an excellent dinner at Walter Bauer on our last night in Europe. The food here is fairly classic, but pulls in great taste and inventiveness. We had the tasting menu and liked that it didn't include dessert so we were able to choose our own dessert preferences. Our favorite dishes were the foie-gras, pike perch, venison, and... More
