Found Steirereck after researching Vienna restaurants. Undoubtedly, if you are reading this, you already know that this is a much celebrated, award-winning restaurant by a husband-wife team of Heinz and Birgit Reitbauer. 1. Reservations. We found a lunch reservation on a short notice, which apparently was a common way for the less planning folks to sample this restaurant. Clearly, this... More

This is the best restaurant I have experienced and I have been in a few around the world. From the start to finish the experience was faultless and for a two star Michelin restaurant what was refreshing was that it was not a stuffy overly posh experience and the staff were welcoming and friendly. For the entree my partner had... More

This restaurant - a modern steel and glass structure in the middle of Stadtpark - is nothing but the best. Flawless service, exquisite menu, excellent variety of wines by the glass and a reasonable price for this category of place. If you have time for just one meal in Vienna, go there.

I really enjoyed every little aspect about this restaurant. First the location, it is in the center of a small park (Stadtpark) the interior, the service and of course the food. The Chef and his team are pushing the boundaries of Austrian cuisine in a brilliant way and every guest is set to experience traditional Austrian food in many new... More

This restaurant was amazing. The decor (including bathrooms) was very unique. Food was absolutely excellent. Service impeccable. A truly memorable experience. I loved the cards they gave to describe the dishes. At the end, we were pleasantly surprised that the bill wasn't as high as we were expecting. The portions were not small as would be expected and we sampled... More

I'm admittedly a connoisseur of pizza and beer. Granted, I've been to some good restaurants. This was my first Michelin rated gourmet experience and I can see why people plan vacations around these restaurants. The price even seems reasonable now. I had the seven course tasting menu with wine pairing and cleaned every plate.

Steiereck was one of the best dining experiences we ever had. The restaurant is in the park and has an open kitchen. Before you get seated ask for the bathroom. It's a very uniquely designed bathroom. The dining room is very old school Vienesse and the service is fantastic. You start of with a choice of all sorts of breads... More

This restaurant has to be one of the best in Europe and the best in Vienna. The menu degustation is so exquisite that you will never forget it. The service was professional, discrete and focus on detailed . Starting with maintaining your bread oven fresh and the butter at the proper temperature, to an assortment of heavenly food creations to... More

Wow! Having ordered from the 7 course menu, wasn't expecting a further 6 courses to be added. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the attention to detail and level of service was second to none. Every single item was cooked to perfection and lovingly served, even the choice of breads and butters was a joy to... More

...and there is some heavy competition in our past! Booked for 22hrs because nothing available earlier, which nearly made us change our plans. Lucky we didn't. We had the 7 course degustation menu with all courses we shared, meaning technically we had a 14 course dinner with 14 wines...amazing! Each single dish was amazing in taste and presentation! Service was... More
