One of the best fine dining experiences of my life!

It was perfect ... We especially loved the carts of herbs, breads, whiskeys..!! The service was impeccable! I have to admit....we were a crew of Americans having fun! We were loud! A fun night!

I was expecting out of this world and really kind of left ho hum. Wasn't blown away at all. Did not like the wine pairing that they had. Thought i was not paired very well and just frankly didn't flow well with the meal.

It is a hard verdict for me to make. I have been a staunch admirer of this culinary heaven for many years. So many excellent memories of the aristocratic setup, wonderful French/Viennese cuisine. And then I missed the beat, lost seven years in between and returned full of nostalgia and expectations. What was a sure Michelin 3-star pretendant is now... More

A place of enjoyment and relaxation in the heart of Stadpark at Vienna's centre. Great Austrian cuisine.

Clean, sophisticated space with discreet and professional service. The food was inventive and well thought out with complicated flavour combinations working well on the palate. The location in the Stadtpark is calming and allows for quality time to savour the experience. Well deserving of its status as one of Vienna's top dining locations.

My wife and I went for the 4 course lunch, the char looked so interesting cooked in beeswax and did not disappoint. Goulash and peppers melt in the mouth!! The only slightly disappointing thing was the Wiener Schnitzel which had no Michelin starred twist about it and just what you would have got in any Viennese cafe. The range of... More

Dinner was good. The service was excellent. The evening was most amusing! They excel at the clever presentation of food, but at a great cost. You might think about whether you want to pay 350 euros (for two) to be amused at this restaurant. I was actually surprised at how plain the taste was. Making food visually attractive and having... Steireck alone is a reason to visit Vienna. It's ranking of no. 15 in the 50 worlds best is to low in my opinion based on the food and service. My first dish mountain trout with melon cucumber and pea shoots was vibrant with each flavour coming through. The goulash from alpine beef with leek and pickled peppers was agin... More

Heard so much about this 2-star Michelin restaurant so we must try. Made online reservation 1 month before travel. Process was simple and fast. Service was fabulous. We were warmly welcomed and whisked to our table next to window. Chose 5-course lunch while kids shared wiener schnitzel and mash. Bread selection was impressive. There was no way we could have... There is a reason why they are so strict with the reservation and confirmation policy. This place, by far, is in my top 3 dining experiences of my life. I really didn't know what to expect, but all my expectations were surpassed ten fold. From the moment you walk up the restaurant, you know you're going to experience something special... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
