I love this place: it's located in a quiet, peaceful area, close to the city center. The coffee is yummy and the food portions are really generous and delicious (I love their salads)! The atmosphere is friendly and so are the waitresses. We enjoyed the outdoor seating!

It is mediocre place in Vienna. The atmosphere was not so special. I drunk a ginger cold tee with mint. It was very avarage. Stuff were ok but they were slowly a little bit. I haven't tried the food. So you can give a try.

Nice Rice is an incredibly delicious restaurant hidden down an alleyway off Mariahilferstrasse. It is one of the very best restaurants in Vienna and compares favourably with restaurants anywhere. As an added bonus it is entirely vegetarian. Getting to Nice Rice takes a bit of conviction. It is located close to Neubaugasse station but is not at all obvious street-side.... More

Tucked away up some steps and down an alley (not quite where 'Lonely Planet' puts it). Inside and sheltered outside seating. Worth trying - soups and mango lassi.

We had only been in Vienna 30 minutes when we decided to go for lunch. Wandering down Mariahilfer Strasse you are spoilt for choice. So we decided to go down a side road and there was Nice Rice. Looking at the menu I was sold. So to sum up the food was excellent and a very interesting Indian Combination. Staff... More

We nearly gave up looking for this place, even though we'd been given directions. But it was worth the search. We had lunch and some cake and beer, It was clear which dishes were vegetarian and which were vegan. Everything seemed to be home-cooked, and all the better for it.

Down an alley off Mariahilfer Strasse we found, quite by accident this lovely sunny courtyard, with two lovely ladies making and serving oriental / vegetarian meals. We are not Vegetarians, but try anything, and we really enjoyed the plate of the day. (Recommended by another customer as we hesitatingly entered). We will be back

Loved the little cosy restaurant run by two ladies in a small courtyard off the shopping frenzy of Mariahilfstr. Creative food, fresh, and well presented, with an Asian twist. Extensive organic teas and other items. One more reason to go back to Vienna

As vegetarians we hoped to enjoy this restaurant which is tucked away in a lovely little square near the Museum Quarter. But food was stodgy and lukewarm and we had better vegetarian meals in ordinary Viennese restaurants.

The dishes were wonderful to try for people following both an omnivorous or vegetarian lifestyle. I tried Kuku, with rice, veggie patty and vegetables, (which I recommend dearly if you want something a little more consistent as a main course) and my girlfriend chose the Nice Rice salad, packed with fresh vegetables, cheese and hummus. Drinks are a must try,... More
