Like many others, we visited Figlmueller based on recommendations of others that they have the best schnitzel in town. Well, we weren't disappointed. The restaurant is tucked away int an alley but not hard to find. Look for the line. We arrived around 4 pm and the waiter said to a couple before us that all tables were reserved. So,... More

Our friend told us to go to this institution and we are glad we did on our first day in Vienna. We went at around 4 so no problem getting a table. The waiter gave us an english menu and was very nice. We knew what to order: two original schnitzels, the size of pizzas, (one would have sufficed) one... More

Went without reservation, place was packed, yet waiter said, "go have a glass of wine at wine bar across street and I'll get you in ten minutes." We went to wine bar and had some amazing Austrian wine (Gruner Veltliner), and sure enough waiter came over and brought us to our table. Told us to bring our nice wine glasses... More

The traditional and cozy restaurant. Schnitzel was a fair-sized and tasty. The house wine and accompaniments were good. Prices at a reasonable level. Worth a try.

My second time to what is claimed to be the best in the city. They have a limited menu but everyone goes for one thing, and they do that very well! We didn't have a reservation but turning up at 11.30 ensured us of a table straight away. Excellent.

Needless to say, Schnitzel is a must at this famous restaurant which was light, tender and very tasty. What amazed me was their potato salad. It was different style of potato salad I usually have at home. Slices of potato dressed with great vinegar and dressing taste. Want to know its recipe. As I was not expecting much on side dish,... It was my first experience trying Vienn food and decided to go for the most traditional and famous place. The schnitzel was very very good as well as the salad. The staff was attentive. However it was a hard job to get a table in here since it was full of turist like myself. The price was quite exaggerated, but... More

I am personally not that much into Schnitzels but this one probably will change my mind. I was first considered as a vegetarian by the waiter who told me every vegetarian item on the menu. He really took care, but I told him I will only have a piece of my Mum's schnitzel - just for trying sake. This piece... More

Their advertisement at the Vienna airport of their famous schnitzel got my husband's attention. It was plate-size and very good. The restaurant is tucked away on a very narrow street close to St. Stephen's.
