Traditional schnitzel

Located in the center of Vienna, this restaurant has a long history and this makes him verry attractive. The "famous schnitzel" was OK, but far away from my expectations. Otherwise, it is a nice place with good beer in the center of this superb city. It is also a place you have to "check in" due to... read more

As a solo traveler i went for dinner to the famous Figlmueller near the St Stephan's cathedral, obviously was full and i had to wait even for a reply. The reply was sorry "full'' and you have to go to the other one just round the corner. Ok...and the other Figlmueller was full then i had to wait. down the... More

Deserves all the praise it gets. The schnitzel was fantastic and whilst that is their signature dish there is much else to choose from. Super service. Very very busy so booking is recommended. We did walk in ona a Saturday evening and having given our names spent 35 mins at the Diglas Cafe (also excellent) before getting our table. Think... More

Me and my girlfriend went there last week, because this place is known for having the best schnitzels in Vienna. Well they weren't better than the once in the stands on the streets. And because we were young, the waiter that served us and an older couple was a lot nicer to them. He gave them a present with the... More

right off of Stephensplatz, this is traditional Austrian cuisine, large portions, good quality, schnitzel is terrific as is the cordon blue and veal goulash, I would recommend for a nice local with reasonable prices - you will think it is touristy, but it is ok.

We stopped by the Wollzeile location to make a reservation for the same evening and were told the earliest opening was 2 days hence. Wanted to try it as it has the reputation of having the best schnitzel in Vienna, and we weren't disappointed! Their pork Schnitzel was not only delicious, it was the size of a small pizza! The... We tried getting a table the first night we were in Vienna without a reservation and we were turned away. We were able to sneak in and get a table the next night and the food was great. Good wine list and the chicken was great.

We read favourable reviews and booked through the hotel concierge. When we arrived, it was a struggle to get inside, so many people, obviously very unpleasant for those with tables near the door. We were shown to our table, a perch, sparsely set, with glaring lights. All the nearby tables had glum looking folk, waiting for food, so sign of... More
