We'd selected a couple of possible lunch stops but hadn't realised that the Wollziele Arcade crowd we'd had to fight through to get to Stephansdom a couple of days before had actually been trying to get into Figlmullers, and as such were lucky to get a table immediately without having made a reservation. Attentive service, an excellent Reisling, and a... More

I really liked the place. Unlike most restaurants in Vienna staff was friendly & helpful The restaurant is packed and crowded. We made our first try on Saturday but they were booked till Tuesday! So we made our reservation for Tuesday tried Schnitzel with their pumpkin seed patato salad. Get the salad you won't regret it.

We were in Vienna and asked our tour guides for the best schnitzel around. Two of them (from Vienna) replied Figlmueller. We went there for lunch and were asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, they said they were booked. We asked when the next available reservation was, and they said two days from then! Dejected, we... More

A place with lots of character and the best schnitzel (not probably) in town. 300 meters from Stefansplatz, very centrally located, good service and sensibly priced. The only glitch is that they offer only drinks from their production, good wines, great sodas but NO beer. And it is always crowded.

This place is quite a typical german place where to have local beer and local food It is quite informal and it is good for both an informal business dinner or a dinner among friends There are very beautiful and tasteful fried steaks, served on plates which are slightly smaller than the steacks themselves, providing a very scenographic effect. They... More

The oldest restaurant in Vienna famous for his Schnitzel. Located in the center. But note, be sure you make reservation because you have a very small chance to find a free table. The Schnitzels are huge and the salad is a kind of mix of vegetables. It is worth visiting because of the famous Schnitzel and the feeling that you... More

One of the oldest still operating restaurants. Difficult to get into but had a waiter that knew how to turn tables and squeezed us in between two reservations. Great experience if you can get in. To taste old Vienna.

...and for nearly all the right reasons; atmosphere and ambience; Reisling resurrected; buzz and kerfuffle; schnitzel to savour; digestifs to die for; cramped and cosy - we had 2 sets of diners on our shared table - company and conversation as well. luck was also with us in getting seated in the first place so no long wait; did I...
