The OPUS is the new gourmet address in Vienna - which accounts for artistic creativity and culinary delight in Imperial harmony. Utterly sensational

Grand modern cuisine, without being freaky and over-clever. We had the four course meal with wine, and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. A big thank you to the great staff.

Super creative - worth a trip. 92 Euro for a 6 course menu (actually 10 courses with all the presents of the house) is actually on the low end of luxury pricing. Every course is yummy and brilliantly executed, creative and original. Unfortunately on wednesday night there were way too few people there. Please go - it would be super... More

This restaurant was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The food was unbelievable, presentation even better. Lots of molecular gastronomy. We had four courses but with the many amuse bouches (creative and delicious additions, by the way) we had nine courses total. Also enjoyed being able to pick and choose items from I believe 4 menus of courses... More

As we were on holiday and staying at Hotel Imperial, we thought we'd go all out and have a meal at OPUS, the hotel's restaurant. We went for the four-course menu, however with added amuse bouches and extra complimentary desserts at the end, we actually had a huge nine courses! Naturally this all took a while to cook, serve, and... More

We were very pleasantly surprised at both how good the food was, and at the level of service, which was outstanding. Wine pairings were excellent, and we would definitely dine here again on a repeat visit to Vienna. The hotel bar has been recently refurbished, and is a beautiful place to have a reasonably priced drink in a unique setting,... More

The restaurant offer a very nice ambiance in a modern classical decor. The service when you are being attended is good but rather slow. The food is is good but to my taste sometimes too elaborated and try to offer Tate's which are not determined .

We recently had the good fortune to stay in the wonderful hotel imperial while in Vienna. One evening we decided to dine in their restaurant Opus. The Decor is relatively modern which somehow does not"go"well with the character of this marvellous classic hotel.Food, however,is very good and the service impeccable. Both menu and wine list are excellent. We had a great evening, but somehow secretly wished... We dined at Opus after seeing the Cleveland Orchestra at Musikverein. The restaurant is just a few paces from the concert hall, and it is exquisite. The food and service were exceptional, and the chef and servers added a number of touches to make the evening truly wonderful.

We had dinner at this lovely restaurant which we enjoyed tremendously! Service was perfect and very charming ! We both had the consommé with slices of pancakes which was delicious ! The wiener schnitzel was incredibly delicate and crunchy with great flavour. Dessert was shared and a Viennese coffee . Will go back again for sure !

This is an incredible property in the heart of Vienna. This hotel is indeed imperial in location, history, details, service, architecture. Food is delicious and well presented, deserts are unique (vive la torte!) and the best part is the coffee. We could not have enough. Breakfast was also amazing and geometrically presented. The historical building is art in itself. The... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
