Elegant, tasty, modern, expensive

this is a nice place to enjoy Vienna in the summer, close to the Oper and the Albertina Museum, good selection of food and wine and good service, slightly overpriced, but still worth eating there, especially for dinner

We visited here between two exhibitions in the Albertina. You can never visit Vienna without having a sausage - in this case a wurstel, with mustard and horseradish. We enjoyed this modestly priced lunch while watching the sushi chef carving up an enormous salmon. The waitress had spent a couple of years in Australia and had perfect English. She was... More

It was a very hot day (37 gr. C) so we stayed almost a whole day in the cool Albertina museum. And we had lunch in the Do & Co. It was a beautiful and unexpected nice lunch in this restaurant. 2x New style Nicoise (see picture). Still water (Vöslauer) very expensive (6,80). The Grüner Feltliner was lovely, all together... We decide to have a gastronomic lunch at the Terracce, so beautiful and quiet one inside the Albertina Museum, and it was our best meal in Vienna. The staff is stylish, very professionnal, offering a top bread selection. The cooking is not so far from one star in Michelin, difficult to find any default. To begin we had the DO... More

The cafe-restaurant of Albertina museum is a great place to rest with a cup of coffee or a beer in the nice hall or in the big veranda if the weather is good. We tried high quality viennese desserts, coffee and a variety of snacks with local beer. The service was excellent (something rare in Vienna). It was our favourite... More

We ate in this restaurant yesterday evening. The concierge could not book a table through our hotel (hotel grand wien), but we took a chance and walked over and luckily they had a table. It was magical, the outside café had a nice breeze on what was a warm Vienna day. Service was good and the food was a culinary... More

Had a great meal here before going into the gallery. The restaurant is beautiful- it was like a piece of art. The chairs/benches are super comfy. We had really good service and were thrilled with our meals. They were presented really well, the ingredients were fresh and they also had a unique take on some classics (like the caesar salad... The food is creative and delicious. It is definitely Asian-inspired. It is not necessarily an "easy menu", but once you've decided, you'll love what arrives on your plate. The setting is lovely and the patio area is great. So convenient to combine with a visit to the fabulous art on display at the Albertina. Very well-located restaurant.

Tucked away on the side of the museum is a charming restaurant for lunch or dinner. We had lunch on the day we visited the Albertina on the outside patio. Small, unusual menu but the food was delicious. A lot of sushi ,which I do not eat but there were wonderful salads and a choice of several soups. The desserts... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
