Thin Weiner Schnitzel

We visited the Cafe Landtmann this week, while working in Vienna. There seems to be two parts, a cafe and a posher resturant which is where we ate. The resturant is quite atmospheric in an older world style. I thought a fairly limited menu but resonabily priced. Two of us had the Weiner... read more

The food was really good, except for Apfelstrudel, but the service should catch up with the time. How can you mess up order of 6 things so many times? The atmosphere is excellent, so is Rind suppebut please, guys work the service out!

First visit for late lunch, recommended by our concierge, on arrival very popular so busy and it was raining so everyone wanted to sit inside. Lots of tables reserved, we attempted to find a table at the front of the cafe which is all glass but the waiter ignored us. I took note of his name Herr Joaquín. This man... More

Cafe Landtmann is a very famous restaurant with long history in downtown Vienna. Although the price is a little bit expensive, Its food and desert are so delicious. It's worthy to spend some time to have a nice meal here.

Had afternoon coffee & cake on the patio. Ordered the Kardinalschnitte & Wiener Trio. If you like cream based desserts you will enjoy the Kardinalschnitte. The coffee cream is fluffy & the biscuits are moist. The Wiener Trio offers you a small sample of three different cakes. The Sacher Torte was my least favorite. Service was prompt, efficient & our... We have been there for dinner with lots of expectations... The service was quite bad- we had to wait for a long time to get any service and when we were leaving the waiter told us that the service was not included in the price which was not specially cheap. It was not said anywhere and we did not increase... More

We had our standard breakfast here with scrambled eggs and bread jam etc and everything was yummy. A bit pricey but nice place to hang out. Waiters and service was exceptional.

We were disappointed that a glass of wine costs nearly 5 Euros, compared to 2.40 to 3.50 at other places. The food was good, but there is nothing above average about this place.

We had lunch on the terrace and were very happy with the service, the food and the atmosphere. It was a perfect day which clearly helped. The food was standard Austrian but was well done. We would definitely go again

We decided to find a place to eat in the city centre for dinner before heading back to our hotel, and this place looked impressive from the outside. Lots of staff bustling about, plenty of outdoor seating with excellent view of the university building the the Burgtheater . We first enquired from one of the staff about vegetarian options, and... Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
