Great place for fine dining

The restaurant is located in the city center close to the flagship stores of the popular brands. They have a nice outdoor area for having a drink and chilling in a warm summer evening. The food is excellent. I recommend to make a reservation for a table well in advance.

Modern, sophisticated, delicate Italian cuisine at a very stylish restaurant. Definitely the place to be seen in the city. Service is excellent. Must book.

We should have paid closer attention to the 1 star reviews. It is rare for us to ever give a rating this low - but here goes. We ate nothing but 2 very small appetizers in this restaurant and 2 glasses of wine, which would be closer to the size of a wine tasting - ridiculously small pours. We were... More

Great service, great food quality and great atmosphere -- this is what you'll find at Fabio's. Modern, inviting and elegant, the food presentation is beyond reproach. I had one of the best veal chops i've ever had. The octopus carpaccio is awesome -- but the presentation is even better. Our server made us feel at home, the food even more... More

The restaurant seemed quite nice at the entrance when we approached it, but the attitude of the manager immediately put us off going any further. Maybe the food is quite good, but customer service is just as important.

So impressed by all the elements from food to decor to service. I have to commend Christopher for his impeccable service. He introduced me to Vienesse wine. I wish all servers would be like him - passionate about what they do and takes care of their customer. I ordered steak and inhaled it. That's how good it was. Don't leave... More

We went here in the middle of the day today and the waiter told my husband he wasn't wearing the correct shoes to be seated. He was wearing flip flops as there were many patrons that were seated wearing flip flops. When my husband pointed this out to him he started screaming and having an attitude. Then he said" stupid... Fabios is a hot spot in Vienna for trendy people with it's Bar and Restaurant combination. Food is italian mediterran and excellent, wine list shows a good selection of nice bottles - the prices (EUR 15.- for starters, EUR 20.- for primi, EUR 30.- for main and EUR 10.- for dessert; wine starts EUR 27.- for a bottle) to be... Recommended by friends as top notch restaurant. Staff is below average for the prices paid and there was no presentation on the plates from the kitchen. I ordered the gnocchi with green beans and it was served in a huge bowl, no garnish and as green as chlorophyll... Turn out the lights green! Another guest at the table ordered the... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
