Located near the State Opera this rather new restaurant has quickly become popular among Japanese visiting Vienna - one guidebook even quoting it THE place to go when one feels homesick. The all-Japanese crew dressed in kimono-style uniforms provides service like in an upper-class Tokyo restaurant. The food is authentic and efforts have been made to replicate a Japanese atmosphere.... More

This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in Vienna. The service is excellent and the food is fresh and delicious. And the price, when considering the high quality of the food, is very reasonable.

We enjoyed the Nihonbashi for the fine selection of Japanese food - both cold dishes like sushi & sashimi and warm dishes. Services is extremely friendly, courteous and happy to explain the more exotic selections. Recommended!

The city of music attracts many Japanese to live there and study classic music or at least visit the opera. Hence it comes as no surprise that the Japanese community is so large. But where do all these Japanese go when nostalgia overcomes them? To Nihonbashi: Unfortunately there is no one line that can describe what makes this place so... More

I'm convinced that this is the most authentic and delicious sushi place in all of Europe (I've tried sushi in Munich, Paris, London, etc...). The price list was more than reasonable. They even had uni, something that is a bit difficult to find even in American sushi places.

Went there yesterday with my wife, around 18.00, without reservation but barely got a table, so reservation recommended. I love sushi but I am not in any way an expert but I can say that food was delicoius, carefully prepared and fresh. Japanese beer served was cold and tasty what goes also for plum wine and whiskey. We had a... More

First of all our waitress had a hard time taking our order, (she was also rude or arrogant or both) service was slow (at best). Food was mediocre. Most of all whoever heard of a Japanese place that couldn't make fried rice (I am serious no fried rice). I wouldn't recommend this place at all, Id suggest trying the Chinese... More

Outstanding Japanese restaurant. Authentic, all-Japanese staff, marvellous sushi and grilled fish. Good selection of Japanese drinks, Bustling full with Japanese on Fridays.

The sushi here is horrible. By far the worst sushi I have ever eaten. On par with the really bad grocery store sushi in the US. The atmosphere is nice but doesn't make up for the bad food. We wanted a change of pace from heavy food but regretted going here. I will now be weary of tripadvisor rankings as... More

We have been to Japanese restaurants all over the world and spent many months in Japan. We can say in good faith that this is one of the best restaurants in the world. Each of the countless dishes is an experience you don't want to miss. The choice is incredible: Don't stick to the sushi. All the waitresses are Japanese... More
