Great place for Japanese food

Nothing overly fancy and you can see that they source for their produce locally as much as possible to keep prices affordable. ... Quality/ price is average. Considering other options in Vienna, the price is higher for the same quality of the food. It has a very japanese typical mood and the service is good.

This place got very good reviews from tripadvisor and therefore I and my family decided to try as we were craving for Asian food during the trip. The service is exceptionally good as we could expect from Japanese restaurant. The food, i must say, is average. I've had lots of Japanese food both in Japan and in many countries and... More

Shabu Shabu was excellent. Staff was very good and service quick and professional. Tempura veggies were cut too thick for my liking but the rest of the food was very nice.

We felt transferred back to Japan! The food was delicious, both sushi and tempura. green tea and black sesame ice cream for desert was a very special treat. Asahi on tap and excellent service made this visit very rememberable. Highly recommend this place!

Super Japanese food. My wife considers herself quite a Japanese foodie and this scored major points. Fresh sushi, high quality wasabi and soy sauce and Asahi on tap... Hard to go wrong with this combination

We were in vienna last week and decided to try this restaurant given that the reviews were so positive. I must say I've visited many Japanese restaurants over the years (including top ones like Zuma in london) and nihon bashi was by far the best place in terms of food, value and traditional hospitality. We had two of the set... More

Wow! I read reviews and was convinced to come here but the food and service blew my doubts away! Service was amazing, the waitresses were very kind and caring. They even let me talk to them in my broken japanese! Food was crisp, fresh and delicious. Would recommend anyone who wants Japanese food or is craving anything close to it!

It is a very popular restaurant and it is better to have reservation before coming. I walked in very early in solo and was just able to get the last unreserved seat. The sushi of cos could not be compared as if in Japan, but probably one of the best in Vienna. There are lots of Japanese coming to eat... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
