Food here was great but the real value here is in the service. From table selection, wine tasters, knowing their menu they were great. The waiter also noticed one of my friends had difficulty with his hands (MND). Without any fuss, or even mentioning it to my friend, he very cleverly switched his glasses to a slightly narrower one so... More

It was a nice small restaurant with good service. The veal was nicely done and the rib eye steak was also excellent. However, we made a mistake of ordering tuna sashimi as a starer. This was in the chef's recommendation list and we thought this should meant they were confident about the quality. However, tuna sashimi was particularly difficult and... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Vienna. I come here frequently. They have a very creative cuisine that is almost always delicious. The price is great for the quality of the food and the service has been consistently stellar. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a good meal for a good price and... We chose this restaurant because of the high ratings at trip advisor. Ended up being a huge disappointment. The evening started well. Not too crowded and our waiter was knowledgable about wine and quite professional. After we placed our order we got a nice duck pate for free but the waiter forgot our prosecco. Then we had a nice goulash... More

Such a wonderful honest restaurant. Food is just superb - and I have eaten in some of the very best. This is right up there. But the best thing about Mini is it is completely unpretentious. The atmosphere is very convivial - you feel like you are eating amongst friends. If I had been told this was a Hungarian restaurant... More

Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff, great food and a lovely atmosphere. Certainly a nice spot for lunch or dinner. The food was well prepared, fresh and the serving sizes were just right. Of particular note was the chocolate soufflé with chili for dessert. Not really a soufflé, rather a fondant, but cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Highly recommend.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighborhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the center. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theater decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
