The location and atmosphere of this restaurant is fantastic. And every sushi or other course you get, is more than superb. Absolutely a must go. Don't hesitate ever. You won't get disappointed.

After managing to reserve a table a this hot spot we finally had dinner at the Mochi yesterday. Enjoying the privilege of sitting outside (they keep a table for you inside and outside if you have a reservation), we ordered three courses: Kim Chi, Mochi for Two and of course Mochi for dessert. Since we had Mochi for Two, the... More

We have been here for lunch and really enjoyed the whole experience. The Quality of the Food is very good and innovative. Perfect and exceptional Sushi and interesting other dishes. Staff is nice, friendly and professional. In summer it is a great place to sit outside which almost creates a kind of holiday flair. Prices are not cheap but well... More

We eat out and travel a lot. Vienna is a wonderful city - but .. Asian food is far from its strength. Sashimi especially is a tough ask in this city. At last count 10 different 'sushi' places and I would not go back to a single one. On a tip from a local friend we visited Mochi (2nd time... More

While not Viennese, we live in Vienna and we're adventurous eaters. And, let's just say that (fried) Schnitzel and Tafelspitz (boiled beef) has gotten old. I had read the hype on this restaurant and listened to the accolades from friends, and finally got around to having lunch here with my husband and son. The outdoor setting is wonderful; a beautiful... More

Located on an attractive, small square in the quiet 2nd District, Mochi managed to squeeze us in without a dinner reservation. We were delighted to find it a non-smoking restaurant. We noticed too, that none of the sushi chefs or wait staff were Japanese, and that nothing especially Japanese decorated the premises; but this didn't matter, once the 'Mochi for... More

Reading the many positive reviews you can't help but conclude that either a hype or some serious Tripadvisor-rigging is going on. The food is not bad - but nothing special. A bit on the fusion-side - caught in the middle. Only a fraction of the staff is actually Japanese and so is the atmosphere. As this restaurant is slightly off... More

It is an extremely busy and trendy place requiring you to make reservations well in advance. It is all worth it as the dishes are innovative and tasty. We especially like the combinations of texture and flavour in their sushi rolls.

The food here is wonderful - really fresh and full of flavour. You will not regret trying the Sake Teriyaki which comes with Kimchi and is beyond words.

Indoor it is somewhat crammed so I've always taken away so far but during summer they have outdoor seating - not sure how it is but looks nice. It is really busy and because it is usually a spontaneous decision I take away form them because if you don't reserve your chances to get a place are small. Food is... More
