Excellent

This is a very atmospheric restaurant, in the heart of Vienna. It's a very nice environment, with good music, in a cellar!! The personnel was very polite, fast and efficient. We tried Spareribs mixed, with potatoes and 2 different sauces, Baked onion rings, with sauce tartar, a Greek salad, two... read more

For someone eating at this restaurant a good 10 times a year since over 10 years I was wondering whether the carneval season made the restaurant decide it is time for a bad joke - or maybe the regular crew is enjoying a good vacation and the backup crew has no idea of what they are doing. The only reason... More

We had heard about this restaurant when we visited Vienna and read the many reviews of TripAdvisor lots of good ones but lots of bad ones as well. Our overall experience was a good one, the food was delicious and the service prompt what we did do though is book ahead, if you turn up expecting a table in this... More

After reading the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to check this restaurant out and we were not disappointed. We shared the mixed ribs between and really enjoyed our meals - the ribs were tasty and well cooked. Staff were pleasant and attentive. We will definitely revisit.

we have been there already 2 times, first time we did not have a reservation and we waited a bit but not a lot. firs time we went there was during the summer season and the temperature inside the restaurant was so high, that i would say was a minus, but at the second visit was pleasant because we went... Great value for money, lovely food and all staff brilliant, I would thoroughly recommend a visit, ribs were really tasty, the large ribs for 2 let us choose 5 different flavours from the menu with a side of coleslaw, fried potatoes, garlic bread and green beans wrapped in bacon, with 3 dips...gorgeous!

The best ribs I ever had! We had the 3 different ribs in one portion and it was enough for two. Sooo tasty! The place is quite small and we had to wait for 15', but it totally worth it.

We came for dinner after a friend recommended it to us. We weren't disappointed! Definitely would recommend making a reservation for dinner, the place was busy from the moment we arrived to when we left with a steady flow of customers. The staff are extremely friendly and check regularly to make sure you're enjoying your meal. Our group had chilli,... More

What an interesting place this is! Decided to go in for my birthday based on some good reviews and thankfully we managed to get a table without a reservation. The restaurant is underground and is quite spooky in a charming way, really has a lot of atmosphere. Decided to try the soup which I’ve done in most places in Vienna... More

After reading about Ribs of Vienna, my friend and I decided that we just had to try it. We were very lucky in that we visited slightly after what appeared to be the main lunch hour rush but there was still just one sole table for us when we arrived. Service was wonderful. The staff did everything they could to... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
