Delicious, clean and fresh

I came to Tian for lunch, for which they had a special two or three course menu. Starting with the bread I was impressed... Three selections of olive oil and organic garlic butter (which was delicious). For the meal, I ended up with two starters: avocado/quinoa salad and bamboo shoots with... read more

I came to Tian for lunch, for which they had a special two or three course menu. Starting with the bread I was impressed... I was amazed to have found this restaurant on 10 mins walk from my hotel. It was recommended to me by the concierge desk as the best vegetarian restaurant in Vienna. I can say it was an amazing taste experience. A wonderful 9 course menu and every course was intriguing and intricate. The staff made is a lovely experience recommending... More

First things first - be sure to reserve a table if you want to eat here. We were initially turned away at lunch by the maitre d', but then were lucky enough to get a reservation for that same evening. There are truly not enough superlatives to do this place justice. The food was exceptional - from a point of... More

This was probably the most delicious (and most expensive) meal of my life. Although you can't really say it is value for money, when you see the skill and effort that must go into preparing these dishes, you can understand where the money goes.

This place is magical. Great ambiance, stellar wine list, jaw-droppingly delectable fare. The things the chefs are able to do with vegetables is astounding. They'll take a Japanese coffee machine and brew a special beet borscht soup tableside, serve quinoa in ways one never thought possible, and turn seemingly ordinary veggies into works of fine art. Minus the glutton that... More

I have been to - TIAN VIENNA - about one a half years ago. and it were on of my best experiences I made, in term of vegiterian taste. Coming back this time, after earning more awards and international attention in our food society, they made it further up to the "champions league" of outstanding taste. Big compliments to the... Event dining with no pretense. Great service, great pace, great wine list. Don't let the vegetarian label scare you off. You will feel amazed and satiated. Offers a la carte or tasting menus of different sizes; try the latter. Book an evening here and one at Steirerick and watch your definition of what amazing food can be expand A must-go!

My husband's brother lived in Vienna for 4 years, during which time he was a vegetarian. He strongly recommended we go here if nothing else. So we went for dinner. I eat vegan when possible (flexi-vegan) but when traveling to Europe, it can be hard (especially Northern Italy where they think vegetarians eat meat and eggs... that's another story). My... More

Starting with the good: the food is amazing! You cannot believe what they serve meat-free. Tasteful vegetarian food is what you get. And the plates are a true piece of art. The service is highly professional and attentive. The sommelier chose two nice bottles of wine, although he should be reminded to treat his non-native german speaking customers some respect... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
