A lovey cake shop in the side streets from stephenplatz. Very friendly staff with a warm and cosy interior. All the cakes are superb. We had a sachertorte and another of their speciality and took one back home. Prices are lesser than the tourist traps and much better quality food. Definately a must try.

Heiner has a relaxed ambiance: the waitresses were always doing something, but it never felt like they were too busy. They were lovely, nice and attentive and didn't rush us at all. There wasn't a lot of people in the upstairs seating area, so we chose to sit next to the big window overlooking Kärntnerstraße. We felt like time had... More

A terrific small classic Viennese coffee and pastry shop. The décor reminds you that you are in Vienna, the deserts are all excellent as is the selection of coffees, teas, espresso drinks, etc. The staff is friendly; speak virtually no English which just lends to the authenticity of the experience. Presentation confirms you are in the right place, and brings... More

We stopped here for coffee and cakes - what a lovely experience. The waitresses are dressed in local costumes - which adds to the experience. I had the esterhazy tort - yum !

It's got a very traditional feel to it but the staff really weren't that friendly and we actually waited such a long time to pay that we got fed up and finally got up and waited on our server who still didn't seem to notice us... So we paid another server. We had coffee and shared a alive of sacher... More

Most reviewers rave about the cakes and pastry at this long established shop, together with the efficient friendly ladies. And quite rightly, we enjoyed these on our recent lunchtime visit. But there is more - between us, we had three different soups all of which were excellent, my goulaschsuppe, which came with slim slices of wurst was one of the... More

Service was fast (wich is rare), also because there was a bell to call when needed. The Dobos Torte was divine. Many austrian cakes and pies to get lost with.

Heiner is one of the pastry shops who delivered to the emperor (K & K Hoflieferant) The cakes are really really good, and service attentive.

Having had a poor experience at the prestigious Café central we tried this nice looking little café and were rewarded with delicious food served by very efficient and pleasant ladies. It does not have the rarified ambience (or high prices!) of Central but the service more than made up! And there was a lower staff to customer ratio by a... More

This coffee house is over two floors and located on one of Vienna's main shopping streets. Downstairs there are a couple of chairs but its mostly for take away, upstairs there is a large airy eating area where you can order from the menu or pick your cakes from the extensive display cabinet, all of which looked delicious as were...
