Almost the real thing but two things put me off

€12 for a pho is a excessive; and you cannot pay with a credit card. Don't get me wrong, it is a pretty good restaurant, but it really pisses me off food businesses in Vienna not being accountable and transparent by only taking cash and not even giving receipts. It is also pricey.

We were very disappointed with the quality of the food we received here. Our starters were OK, however our main courses were of very low quality and poor taste. The food was also expensive.

At "by Chi" the menu is in english too, which is rare in Vienna. We (2 ppl) ate rolls with beef and vegetables and two main courses with meet, vegetables and noodles, one with boiled/steamed noodles, one with fried noodles. Very tasty and something different! Would definitely go again. Paid 40 euros with tip included for the food and 2... More

I came here for a lunch with my wife and parents and having eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants all over the world thought the food here was of a very good quality and probably ranks towards the top end of Vietnamese restaurants in Vienna. The range of meals on offer is wide and particularly the Pho soups was among the... More

We love viet food and we usually look for it in any place we go. This has been recommended by Austrian friends. It's a small minimalist place in Hollandstr.15, in the 2nd district of Vienna, between the Karmeliter markt and the Donau Canal. It's necessary to come either early for dinner (about 18:00) or to book as there are very few... More

I love pho and bun and com and so on .... Real Vietnamese people run this joint and the food is amazing. Back home in Toronto there are hundreds of Vietnamese joints and I've been to most. None of them live up to this place. Take it from a fellow Asian, this place is really good. The service was friendly... More

My partner and I recently visited Theater on Der Wien for a very good night of Opera. After the show we wandered thru the Naschmarket across the street. Our favorite cuisine is SE Asian so we were soooo happy to find this wonderful little Vietnamese Restaurant ran by the nicest nicest lady. We were torn between sitting at her establishment... More

Do Service is super friendly and speak English what is not always in Vienna The food was super delicious. First day I ate a big bowl of soup and the second time I took a lunch menu with meet and rice.. The place was packed and also many Asians. Many Asians is always a good sign for a Asian restaurant.... Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighborhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city center and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theaters, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
