After a few average choices in Vienna, it was a pleaseant surprise! Gorgonzola gnocci with spinach sauce were exquisite! Great caprese salad and carpaccio di manzo delicious too. We went the next day again and food was as great. The tiramisu was delicious and huge!

Close to the Albertina, we didn't expect much else then a tourist trap. However, the place id quite decent. Friendly service, although an extra waiter might have speeded the process of dining a bit more, but we were not in a hurry. Food was tasty, but nothing too special.

I visit this place from time to time. I must admit good and stable quality, nice service, friendly attitude. Never relied on interior, based on my experience travelling in Asian countries, where local friends always asked "do you want good foód or nice interior"... Located aside of main tourist streets, not far away from Albertina. Good selection of fine wines... More

I'm not sure why I read some bad reviews about this place, but I can tell you, I'm Italian and I know good food. The waiters and other staff were very cordial and the pizza , tagliatelle, gnocchi and soup were wonderful. This just goes to show that you can't always rely on other people's opinion. Grazie Ernesto for a... More

External appearance and interier of the restaurant don't promise culinary surpluses, but once you try the first bite of excellent crispy bread with some of the house starters, you quickly forget about their non-inventive overall simplicity. If you are a pasta or pizza connoisseur, than you must try some simple dishes, to test their cooking staff. We chose spaghetti with... More

Convenient location if you got hungry after spending your time at the Albertina :) Of course, you know that this location will go hand in hand with the price. 1,6 EUR for sitting down - just like in Italy. Food was tasty and decent portions were served. The grilled calamari was not that fresh, but then again, the sea is... More

Well, I had a fine experience at this restaurant this afternoon. The atmosphere was quite pleasant, the waiter was attentive and I felt relaxed. There was an Italian family of seven sitting at a nearby table, While I was waiting for my dish of pasta to arrive, there's was served and I heard the Mama of the family say that... More

I went to this place based on the recommendation of an Italian friend of mine. He said that he had attended another Italian friend's 60th birthday and that L'Asino Che Ride had catered it and the food was good at the party. I asked him if he had been to the restaurant, but he said he doesn't bother with Italian... More

My friend and I was looking for a new Italian restaurant to try and we happened to find L'asino Che Ride Restaurant while looking for a different restaurant. The first thing that caught my eye was the picture of a laughing donkey above the restaurant's name. We saw people sitting outside the restaurant's garden and decided to see the inside... More

The only reason we came here was because we often used to go for a pizza at the Cavallino next door, that is no longer in business. The name of this place is a reference to the Cavallino, as the donkey was supposed to be laughing at the horse. Now maybe the donkey is still laughing but I don't think... More
