the viennese say it is the ebst in town

what a shop, a huge reception filled with at least 30 different ice creams, it is a bit difficult to choose but any is really good. during summer times people are queuing and enjoying the ice cream. service is professional, not always kind but hey, that's Vienna

By far the bedt ice cream I had in Vienna and one of the best I ever tasted. Unfortunately it is closed during the winter and the service could use an upgrade (the sales person was not too nice but I came for an icecream so did not care much)

During the day in summer, this place always has a line of people waiting to be served. Both locals and tourists alike. The icecream is really very good. The service can be a little abrupt but that is normal for Vienna.

Went to get an ice cream today, and had one of the most unpleasant experience I have recently had. Incredibly rude attitude and in a rush almost to hurry us up, and then possibly chase us away. I have no idea what got into the waitress who served us. Since the Ice cream was highly recommended, did persist and get... More

This is by far the best ice cream. Unfortunately this place is only open in summer. It's so good that when I was living in Vienna I bought lots of it in a box and put it in my freezer to get through the winter! Now when I visit Vienna I just have to walk by each day at least... More

the most delicious ice-cream I know. you have got to taste the two house specialities (even if they are more expensive than the regular ones): walnut and wild strawberries. to die for!! no matter where we have eaten lunch or dinner in the city, afterwards we just HAVE to go to Tuchlauben for our dessert...

We can be called 'ice cream connaisseurs' so if we say this is of the best ice cream we've ever had: believe us! Not expensive at all, great choice of flavours and friendly lady to serve us. Definitely recommendable!

We came here upon a recommendation from a friend and..he was completely right! First and foremost, they list two specialities, their nougat ice-cream and another flavour which I do not remember but which was clearly posted as their house speciality. The nougat is out of this world and in its creaminess and texture one of the best ice-cream flavours I... More

this place is usually packed in summer and the waiters are usually very stressed out - but they stay friendly (in a Viennese way) and the ice cream is definitely worth a wait!!!

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
