Great beer but too crowded

They have interesting choice of beers and the food is good, too. What I didn't like is that was very crowded. It is a very large space, but it took us a lot of time to get a table, and it was rather small...

Decided to drop in as this place was close to our hotel. Glad we did. Warm & cosy and packed out. Still managed to find a table and settle down to the menu. Started with a couple of beers, Weizen, which definitely had a banana flavour to it, which was great. The Kartoffelsuppe (potato) was excellent and the best soup... More

I had selected this place in advance on the web before visiting Vienna and I do not regret. I think it is one of the best, in my case the best, beer place in Vienna. They have their own high quality beer. I took the Märzen which was very good and also Smoked Porter which was magnificent, the best, The... More

Great ribs, great plates, great beer... Garden in the back when weather is good. Also if you have space try the garlic soup as a starter

Good selections of beers. We ordered Viennese schnitzel and screwed pork with French fries. Fries was overcooked and not eatable at all. Servise was fast and in 5 minutes. We ordered also few Becerovkas but waiter forgot deliver.

Handcrafted beer, amazing goulash with delicious dumpling, and that schnitzel is incredibly huuge. And as huge as good. Also as a side dish we tried saurkraut which was delicious. And waiter mr. Ricci was very kind guy. Definitely i wanna come back!

Good beers here a nice few to sample, nice location and environment inside the sad thing is the service is rather brusque and abrupt which takes away from the overall venue - shame. Especially as i did enjoy several beers .

Visited here on my first night in Vienna. Was close to my hotel and saw reviews were good so decided to try. I ordered the goulash and had arrived within five mins! Was good, chunky beef and dumplings were also good. Well priced. Would visit again if returned to Vienna.

Thank Katie J

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
