Pub grub

This place is definitely not fine dining, it's rough around the edges, delicious, greasy pub grub. I had the wienerschnitzel and it was pretty good. The beer was great. Good value too. Just don't expect any refinement here

I lived about 3 blocks from Siebernstern Brau for many years. I went there a few time. I tend to agree with the other posts that it's better for beer than food. Food is just "OK". Beers are interesting and the ambiance of the place is definitely "bier garten". Thee are other places that are nicer but this one is... More

My wife and I came here based on a recommendation from another restaurant. I tried a few of the beers and did not love them, weitzen and lager. We ordered the ribs and the spatzel, both house specialities. The spatzel comes with chicken and pork and was unbelievably good. This is so good it is a last meal type thing.... More

We just managed to squeeze this into our trip - meeting up with a friend over lunch. It was buzzing righr from noon, but we were served quickly and enjoyed the Marzen, Dunkles and Bock beers and their lunchtime menu. The meals were substantial and incredibly good value. Inside was pleasant and air-conditioned, and the back garden is also very... More

One of the greatest places we've visited in Vienna. They grew their own beers and have menu in different languages explaining all the types of beer and their qualities. The food was great, fast served, and affordable. The beer was great! As a bad thing I could say that not all of the waiters are that great and sometimes they... More

Nothing much to say, nothing much to complain. We like their potato salad the best. After they took the order, we received the food within 10 minutes. It was the fastest serving I ever had in a restaurant, which actually made me suspicious, how they were able to manage that. Was that finished products? But anyways the food tasted good.... More

A very nice place for eat&drink, house beers are very special. We tried Marzen beer and Bamberger Rauchbier which has a smoked taste, both were tasty!

Visited the 7stern on our first visit to Vienna over twelve years ago and was determined to return. I remember the beers with affection, especially the Bamberger Rauch Bier, so like the Schlenkerla smoked beer of Bamberg. Was it as good as I remember? You bit it was! My wife tried the Czech-style Dunkel and the Helles. She normally prefers... More

Located in a very trendy and upcoming area of Vienna, the "7 Stern" was recommended to us by a local friend of mine. It was worth the trip through town, which is easy by subway anyway. In summer, try to grab a table in the cozy backyard, under the trees and have a house beer.

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
