Very nice ambience, friendly staff, good piano music. I highly recommend this Cafe not only to tourists, but to locals as well.

We stayed at the Hotel Imperial and visited the restaurant for dinner on the first night of our stay. The food was excellent and we both enjoyed our meals. I had the vichyssoise as my starter, perch fillet on a basil risotto for main and a chocolate and cherry pudding for dessert. My husband had a potato and mushroom soup,... More

Not the cheapest place in town but the food is superb. It's an experience and in many ways that's exactly what holidays are for.

Imperial is a traditional destination after concerts in viennese Musikverein. Is is not cheap, but you get excellent food and the service is quick, friendly and professional. We had there beef broth with sliced pancakes, traditional Wiener Schnitzel (Veal Scallop) with potatoes and mixed salad (small salad consisting of cucumber in dill source, tomatoes, salad leaves and potatoes in vinegar... We had breakfast several times while we stayed at the hotel. Breakfast Buffet was very well stocked with all the usual foods. Eggs can be made to order!

This is an incredible property in the heart of Vienna. This hotel is indeed imperial in location, history, details, service, architecture. Food is delicious and well presented, deserts are unique (vive la torte!) and the best part is the coffee. We could not have enough. Breakfast was also amazing and geometrically presented. The historical building is art in itself. The... More

Popped by for a taste of the famous cakes in Viennese cuisine. I ate a raspberry crumble pie, and my wife had the sachertorte. Both was exquisite, and the localities was high end and really conveyed the feeling of imperial Vienna. We did not try dinner, and the rating is thus only based on the desserts. Over average in pricing,... More

Capuccino costs 5,6 Eur, which is expensive even If you are in Vienna. staff is polite and professional. Sit outside and you can enjoy the traffic and how the city wakes up.

After a concert at the Musikverein in Vienna one of the obvious choices for late night dinner is the Café Imperial. What a dissapointment to see the place refurbished in the most insensitive way. Where is the grandeur and cosyness of former decades? Now it looks like a Hilton Garden Inn: pleasant, with a coolness that is not the Hotel... More

We have tried the Imperial Torte there which was perfect. But the Cafe Melange they served was overpriced and the cup was tiny. Overall, we had a good evening there.
