Description: Crowning Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom the Le LOFT Restaurant, Bar & Lounge...
Crowning Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom the Le LOFT Restaurant, Bar & Lounge is walled-in only by glass and colored by a painted mural ceiling by Pipilotti Rist. Floating above the city the restaurant provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience, combining inspired menus, great wines and impeccable service. The menus from our Chef de Cuisine Herve Pronzato evolve around a global cuisine with an eclectic mix of flavors from Europe, Asia and The Middle East. Although the recipes and presentations have a worldly orientation, many of the fresh ingredients are sourced locally. At Le LOFT Bar & Lounge guests can enjoy an aperitif before dinner or, afterwards, stretch into the night with world class cocktails. Reflecting the modern Vienna and the architecture of Le Loft, the unrivaled concepts of Afternoon Tea and Sunday Lunch surprise guests in every aspect. Reservations are welcome for all meal periods, also for groups, special occasions, events and exclusive bookings.

Pricey, but excellent view. You should come at least once for a coffee

This is one of the best places to take a coffee or a drink and admire the city from above. If you want to stay for a meal it is ok to know that this place is quite expensive even for Vienna, but you pay mostly for the excellent panoramic view. Great to come here at least once. Le Loft is definiely one of the most spectacular restaurants in Vienna but when it comes to food, the restaurant has unfortunately lost it's appeal. I visited Le Loft a couple of times shorlty after it opened and again last December. In the beginning I found their food was decent - overpriced but decent but now the food can't live... More

We booked the restaurant for the last night of our anniversary trip to Vienna, hoping it would be a wonderful way to see the city and have some great food. Neither the food nor the service lived up to expectations, so we left quite disappointed that we've wasted our last evening in this wonderful city in that way. But the... More

Dear Mr/Mrs, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience in our restaurant “Le LOFT”. I am sorry to hear that the service offered to you did not represent our high standards and also the issues faced by your husband after your dinner at Le Loft. We take food hygiene very seriously at Sofitel, following high... More

Spent 5 nights in Vienna and we saw many different restaurants and had different cuisines. But this place is the best in town... The view is breathtaking and the food is phenomenal! Well done to the chef and also the gentleman that served us he was very professional and courteous. Great place to spoil your partner and a great way... More

Okay so it's no secret that this place has amazing views... you have pretty much a 360 view which is breath taking, you can see the whole city. We came here for pre dinner drinks after being rejected the night before for not booking (top tip - Book! it get's very full). The bar and restaurant design is pretty amazing,... More

Excellent food though it is pricey. The views are well worth the visit. Disappointed that we didn't have a window table even though we booked well in advance and advised it was our anniversary. However the experience didn't disappoint. Sarah (one of the staff) was excellent and approachable as well as the sommelier. We had a set menu together with... More

I had a fun mocktail here since I don't drink alcohol which was great. BUT the most spectacular by far had to be the art on the seating which appeared to reach out into the sky outside.. an amazing visual effect which ONLY works during the night time.. truly special. I had an after dinner sit down here and it... More

One of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen. Floor to ceiling glass windows on the 18th floor. Food/ service very good but all I can remember is the view. Not a lot of interaction with wait staff until we mentioned we were from the Caribbean & the waiter lit up because he had lived there. We had the... More

This place had an amazing view but the prices were terrifying. We ordered drinks (a Pippilotti bellini and a local beer) as well as main dishes- halibut and lamb and split a dessert (lemon). The portions were a good size and everything was delicious. We didn't ordered appetizers because they were about 22 euro each. The Pippilotti bellini is a... More
