You know a spot in a big city is good, when the locals are lining up for it constantly. This is one of those spots. Living up to its name, it quite "centrally" located and easy to find. Most locals in the area know about it. The cafe's architecture oozes with old world charm as much as the food oozes... More

This is one of the popular Coffee houses in Vienna. Its always crowded and people line up to get in. We had a reservation so we didnt have to wait in line. The service was rather slow and the food was just average. The schnitzel was dry and the apfel strudel was not as good as I expected. The place... More

It's a very nice cafe. With the decoration, service etc it provides you a high class environment. It is always crowded so you may wait for a while to be seated but it is definitely worth. Especially, apfelstrudel is delicious.

I heard Cafe Central so many times and had so high expectation for it, but actually was quite disappointed by the dessert and service quality. The atmosphere was ok, Piano play was definitely a plus, with the portraits, however, the place is just an old, poorly maintained coffee shop. There were not many dessert choices and the coffee there tastes... More

Visited Cafe Central on a Sunday afternoon. There was the usual queue but it cleared in five minutes when we were shown to our table by a very polite waiter. We ordered our little cakes and a double espresso with apricot liqueur and whipped cream. It was delicious and a perfect complement to the Café which has an amazing interior.... More

We had to try this historic cafe, which was worth the 20 minutes we stood in line for lunch. The lunch special of some sort of braised pork with sauerkraut and potato pancakes was yummy. The kaiserschmarrn was delicious!

The Cafe Central is definitely a popular place. We came for lunch and had to wait in line for a while. Once inside we were served rather quickly considering the place was chuck full. As you enter the Cafe, notice the display case full of luscious deserts. Something you may want to order later. My wife and I had soups... More
