Very disappointed. There is a "please wait to be seated" sign. I waited for 10 minutes and no one came until a white couple came in and stood behind me. A hostess guided them but not me. I am an Asian by the way. She took their orders but not mine. I eventually had to call her and ask her... More

We visited here as it was directly adjacent to our hotel and we had heard great things of Vienna's coffee houses. On arrival we stood near the doorway expecting to be seated and generally admiring the grandiose interior - I believe it is a former palace of some member of the nobility and looks as much. Initially the waiting staff... More

Delightful historic cafe. On a 34 degree day the aircon inside was wonderdul. We shared an applestrudel which we both felt was outstanding. Service was efficient and friendly. The general ambience can best be described as elegant, comfortable and relaxed.

We stood at the entrance to wait for someone to show us to the table. Many staff walked pass us but didn't bother to say they will attend to us soon. Most staff were unfriendly and I'm not sure if it is because we were not Caucasian. They were only busy serving the rest. We also wanted to buy some... More

Relaxed atmosphere, I could have spent the whole afternoon here. Great selection of cakes which I did not try as I fancied savoury. Handy for the museums when in need of recovery.

The atmosphere is fantastic - cake selection from heaven, newspaper stand with about 30 papers, coffee delivered in 2 minutes and the quality of coffee is a top notch! Visit if you are after typical Viennese cafe experience!

This is one of the most wonderful and unique cultural spots in Vienna! With beautiful 19th century interior with live piano music, and gorgeous plates and pastries, it was heaven. The service was very accommodating and it feels like you're back in a different era. Enjoy!

This is a very nice and history-filled place. The cakes are not so pricey but the coffee, yes. Nevertheless, they are worth it. The ambiance is excellent..and the live music? completes your vienna experience!

Loved every second of our afternoon coffee at cafe central. This is a must do experience of Vienna. Incredibly professional and friendly staff, lovely live piano in the background, awesome decor and architecture with the history of famous names eating here. you can almost feel their presence. the cake and coffee were good, not the best I have had in... A magnificent cafe. We had apple strudel and ice cream and it was fabulous. The service was good and no one was in a hurry to get you to leave. A must do when in Vienna. The range of cakes was amazing.
