We found Café Central by chance when looking for a place to have dinner. It is beautifull and the live pianno player gives ir a special vibe. We were transported to the 19 hundreds cafe in all its glory. The staff is nice and helpfull and the food is nice. Don't be mislead by the sweet looms of the Sissi... More

This used to be my favourite place to eat every time I visited Vienna. Sadly, not any more. The service is terrible, waiters ignore you and avoid eye contact until they feel it is time to serve you again. Too bad if you need anything in between! The quality of the food and the size of the portions has also... More

This is the most charming cafe in Wien. The service is amazing, the local is historic and the food is delicious!

Beautiful cafe in Vienna! Piano musician played throughout our classic Viennese dinner. I'm not certain I would eat dinner there again, but would instead stick to the classic coffee and dessert. A must on your Vienna visit!

In the beginning of the 20th century it was a place where met special Vienna habitants (Freid) and special Vienna guests (Trozky). But now it's a point from Vienna tourists "must see" program... With all the consequences that come with it - line to enter, fast-food quality of service ... For example, turkish coffee that I ordered was slightly heated.... More

We ate lunch at Cafe Central our first day of our stay in Vienna, and it was not bad, but not spectacular. The desserts were very good, as were the drinks, and the atmosphere was really nice, but the food was only so-so. I'd say their strength is definitely in the sweet stuff... save lunch for somewhere else!

It really depends on what you order. Must tries are the beef goulash and apple strudel. Their soups are quite nice too - I tried the Viennese potato soup with mushrooms and diced bacon. Schnitzer is just so-so. Cakes look divine but sadly I did not have the chance to try. Do not order the hot chocolate with whipped cream... More

We went here by accident as we were starved and we did not know anything about this place but we were impressed by the interior ambience it is like a royal hang out. We did go there towards the end of the lunch hour but service was still slow. We ordered the only two vegetarian options a fired risotto ball... More

I am Cafe Central - Herrengasse in Vienna and I totally think these people here hate Asians or Indians .. They served so many people who came after me ... The waiters just ignored me till I stood up and stopped them.. Even then one just passed me, saw me calling me and walked away !!!
