The highlight of this restaurant is its staff. Really caring, accommodating , proactive and entertaining. The menu has good variety for Vegetarians and if there is something they don't have on menu feel free to ask, they will be happy to prepare. The food has beautiful flavours. The tomato soup was one of the best I've ever had. Cost for... More

When I think of the best italian restaurants I've been to I think of three things: great food, great wine, and quirky service. Al Borgo was the same. Yes the waiters and owner seem more happy to chat with italian guests / regulars than all guests, but if the experience is still good, does that matter? I found this place... More

My wife and I visited vienna to celebrate our fifth wedding anniversary from 14th to 16th November. We chose to eat at the Al Borgo restaurant on the back of the trip advisor reviews and we were really looking forward to our evening. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement! We ate at the restaurant on the Saturday... More

Dear Robert, first of all we would like to thank you for the positive feedback on our kitchen. Even if the restaurant is full, of course our service is trying to entertain all guests equally, Therefore we regret that you have not felt comfortable. More

Immediately upon arrival to the restaurant, you are greeted nicely in Italian. We are American and spoke English to who appears to be the owner when trying to get a table. It did not seem like he understood, so I prompted to ask him in German if he spoke German. He seemed a bit offended by this and told me... More

We arrived into this restaurant at 6.20pm on a Friday evening and asked for a table (cheeky) and they told us they could give us a table but only up until 8pm so we were delighted. Cue a bottle of red wine and some processo which was really good. We both went for the steak and this was really tasty... More

Incredible experience at Al Borgo. The food was delicious. I had the spaghetti with truffle oil and sausage and the cold cuts and mortadella as a starter. Highly recommend the seafood pasta as well, my friend had it and it was out of this world. Special shout out to our waiter Giacomo, he set the tone for the entire night... More

Although I am not often a guest in an Italian restaurant (Italian places are not the natural habitat of someone who doesn't like cheese or pasta!) my friends and I enjoyed our dinner here. We were warmly greeted when we arrived by the pleasant and professional staff. There was a good choice of dishes and an extensive wine list (mainly,... More

Have to say this is overrated but by no means bad...in fact in most places it would be very good. Wine was good but heavily over priced and menu was thin. Needs to sharpen it self up somewhat to match up to others locally.

I have visted this restaurant two times. They were able to offer good pasta in both times. One is that I ate pasta with truffle source, the other is that I ate pasta with seafood. I suppose there is the most delicious pasta I have ever eaten so far. In addition, there is a good atmosphere. I do not have... More
