forget the cookies and brownies

my search for an American bakery led me here. While the service, chocolate shake and cakes were excellent, I would definitely avoid the brownies and cookies. Atmosphere was great - quite relaxing and inviting. Ill go back but will know what to order.

One of those places in town that I guess only native people and random strangers can appear here. A place made and designed in besr traditions of cafeterias, where except many and new (at least for me) types of coffees, one can enjoy the place itself. Strongly recommended.

My favorite afterwork coffee with a creat crumble cake in Vienna. The vintage style character makes such a cosy atmosphere!

This is a review of the Downtown location in Neubau. If you are tired of the chains and all of the "pastries" masquerading as awesome but really just corporate crap, then this bakery is for you. The interior is an awesome, eclectic mix and the owner told us that it was her collection of various items she had gathered in... More

Cute Cafe from the outside but very rude staff: unless welcoming us just said you are not allowed to come in with your trolley. Alternatively nothing mentioned, so we left.

We thought it would be crazy crowded since it is so close to Schonbrunn, but actually it wasn't. We found a cozy couch near the window and enjoyed cake and cookies with a nice cappuccino. They draw different shapes on the coffee foam, which is really cute. The young guys and girls at the counter are super friendly. It seems... More

This is such a wonderful place. If you visit Vienna you should also go to this café. It's like someone's living room - someone who is crazy about colors. You can buy everything here. The service is extremely friendly and they offer really nice hot chocolate. There are plenty of cookies, cakes, sandwiches and bagels to choose from. I had... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighborhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
