My wife and I visited this restaurant at the last minute. We only rang to reserve a table about 1hr before arriving. Staff: Really professional. Friendly and non intrusive. Ambience: Lovely intimate interior. Even though the place was packed with diners it didn't feel crowded. Food: Excellent first class vegetarian dining. We opted for the vegetarian 3 course set meal... More

Excellent vegetarian cuisine with an Austrian twist. Although they had fish and chicken dishes too. Had the 3 course meal with a pumpkin terrine appetizer, marinated tofu in a paprika yogurt sauce with olives, papaya and zucchini main course, with a poppy seed dessert with fruit and custard. The flavors popped. Atmosphere was elegant but can come casual. All for... More

It is not easy to find good vegetarian food and other light and healthy dishes in Vienna - here you will get them! Nice and calm place, elegant athmosphere, very welcoming owners.

We stumbled across this restaurant while looking for a particular shop and were pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was good. We went back again to have lunch the next day. Beautiful vegetarian seitan meal, highly recommend.

Tired of too many heavy meals during our week in Vienna we were lucky to happen onto Lebenbauer. Even though we showed up without a reservation on a fairly busy evening, we were seated promptly and given excellent service. The menu featured many vegetarian offerings which was just what we were looking for. Great meal, great find.

We booked a table at Lebenbauer Vollwert Restaurant for our trip to Vienna since we read good things about this vegetarian restaurant. We were impressed by the atmosphere and the nice service, but less impressed by the food. The soup was really nice, but the main course and dessert were rather average. Certainly not bad, but not great either. The... More

If you are vegan and come here, specify no butter or cheese. I asked if my dish was vegan and the reply was yes, but my "brown rice, tofu, and avocado" dish came out in a pool of butter and cheese shredded and mixed into the rice. A little disappointed, but maybe I should have been more specific. I really... More

Just arrived in Vienna and stumbled from our hotel looking for somewhere to eat. Lebenbauer was welcoming even though it was a little late in the evening. Pleasant surroundings with fellow diners who obviously were happy being there. A varied, and rather unusual menu (pleasantly so) - vegan and vegetarian options, with some Thai, amongst other, influences. The dishes were... More

The meal we had was delightful, from every point of view. The Food was imaginative, delicious and beautifully served. My first course of a quinoa tartare was unusual; the dorade fish was prepared to perfection. The cost for two people, without wine or other drinks, was 63 euros.Highly recommended.
