Great and authentic Austrian cuisine without the tendency to deep fry everything

Classics are beeing served as we know and love them as well as traditional Austrian dishes with a surprising and well fit twist. And even the preparation is more up to date (less fat) and therefore better without missing the autenticity. Austrian food at its best. Perfect for a nice evening... read more

Superior: we were referred by a walking tour guide. Wonderful appetizers, salads, chicken, wine and beer, with attentive and friendly service. Also has a courtyard, but with 38 C temperatures outside, the a.c. was preferable.

The hotel concierge recommended this restaurant since we wanted authentic Austrian food. The restaurant was within a few blocks from our hotel. We ate outside as well as in several times during our stay in Austria. We kept returning because the food and service were excellent. Other restaurants were visited but service or food was not as good as Huth's!... More

Both my tour company and the hotel concierge recommended this restaurant when we told them we wanted authentic Austrian food. It is located in a quiet neighborhood within the Kartner Ring in Old Vienna. We opted to eat outdoors even though it was warm because we were told that The air conditioning inside was no better. After perusing the menu... More

I hear tourists complain about hostility but I do not agree. If you want to experience hospitality of Austrians they should visit this restaurant. Very friendly staff and very delicious food. I tried beef tongue and head of the pork for starter and fish for main dish.

Travelling in Vienna and came across this place. It was a super hot day yet again and were looking for a place that had air conditioning. This restaurant clearly advertised air conditioning on the outside board - thank you!!! When we went in, there weren't a lot of people surprisingly but the food was spectacular. I have allergies to nuts... More

I went for sunday lunch at Da Moritz. I had to wait more than half an hour for my pizza while customers who came after me had their pizza served. Everytime I ask the waiter about my pizza he would brush me aside and raise his voice at me and even walke out on me. When the manager came with... More

Excellent schnitzel and potato salad. No smoking restaurant. Vienna is a expensive city, but you can get a good value for money in this centric restaurant. Try local beer with your meal.

Dinner here was a last minute thing as we were running late but were pleasantly surprised given general feedback on trip advisor. Waiters were really helpful and food was decent and in huge portions as we found quickly was fairly typical for Vienna during our weeks stay.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
