Best brunch ever

In the same building as the most expensive restaurant in Austria (Steirereck) Meierei is located, with a view to canal passing through StadtPark, in heart of Vienna. I recommend you to try Beef Tatar there, which is offered in 2 sizes. Price for a complete breakfast ranges from 19 to 25 €. If you... read more

We had noticed this lovely restaurant during a stroll in the park and showed up for dinner without a reservation. We were lucky enough to get a table and enjoy a really nice meal (excellent stuffed courgette flowers, Austrian cheese, and typically Austrian apricot dumplings for dessert) with a glass of Austrian wine. All in all, very good value for... More

Every time I am back home (or well, one of them) I always find myself having breakfast in the Meierei. It is always very serene, with excellent service and very tasty food. Their jams are fantastic and their milk tastes of heaven, but then this is Austria after all ;)

We were looking for a place to have supper not too far from our show venue. We stumbled upon the Meierei with its fresh white and green decor. They have a very extensive wine list and interesting menu. The food was exquisitely served, beautiful. I had stuffed courgette flowers and at €15.50 one of the more expensive meals I had... More

We've been eating here for years on our summer visits to Vienna. It has always been good and sometimes great. This time was different. We had a 4:30 reservation for an early dinner before the opera. We were placed at a table in front of a sliding window... which didn't slide, leaving us uncomfortably cooked. We received indifferent attention from... More

OK, we are in love with Meierei. So, this review might not be representing something objective about this restaurant. The food is always of the highest quality there - including their regular items and seasonal menu. The staff is perfect - and that's a thing to search for in Vienna. The atmosphere of the park is priceless (especially so in... More

Nice place to chill near park. We had bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and plate of local cheeses. Cheeses were well described. Great service.

Came for business breakfast. The menu is really impressive and i had difficulties to make my choice. At the end i opted for white yoghurt with fresh fruits, poached duck egg with asparagus and chantilles and curd cheese strudel to go with my coffee... Now... The fruits that came with yoghurt was a small sad selection of cut apples and... More

Nothing not to like. The service was the best in Vienna, unobtrusive and accomplished, the food was perfect, and situation in the park delightful. Go.

It is my second time at this restaurant. I love it. Food is amazing. It is great place for breakfast or brunch. They have a good selection of local cheeses and wine. I had the steak tartar and the asparagus they were both outstanding. Make sure you make Reservations before coming. Place is always packed.

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
