Incredible Gelato!

If you're in Vienna, do yourself a solid and come here for gelato. In a cup. In a cone. In a BOX! Seriously, the texture is out of this world smooth, and they have lots of delicious flavors to choose from. If you get gelato or ice cream anywhere else in Vienna, it will NOT live up to this place.

Terrific gelato, massive array of choices but all the labels in German. We ordered strawberry and pistachio, both terrific, after trying to use Google Translate's camera recognition tool to translate the German labels to English while servers seemed too busy to care. I would rate it 4 stars, but it foregoes 1 star only for the impersonal service. Reminds me... More

The ice cream is excellent, but the staff is really unfriendly and rude!!!! They have no problem taking your money but you won't be treated like a guest who actually pays but like an annoying person they want to get rid of asap. They won't make you feel welcome at all. Also I highly recommend everyone to check the change... More

It seems that this icecream parlour is sort of an institution in Vienna. The ice-cream here is really good, but it seems that the parlour has degenerated into an overcrowded tourist trap where the staff is desperately looking forward to the end of their shift. You can find better and more laid-back parlours both in the Innere Stadt and other... More

As a Viennese living also in San Francisco I don't even bother with "artisanal" ice cream on the West Coast (factory produced, expensive, mostly mediocre) but save my ice cream desires for Vienna. So it is an even bigger disappointment when taking my daughter (10) to Schwedenplatz and have her find hair in her ice cream. The server was nice... More

We visited Vienna couple of times before and my husband always heads for this chestnut ice-cream which we only found in Vienna!! Worth a try! All ice-creams are superb if you manage to taste all they have!!

I remembered an Italian ice cream shop along the Danube canal when I studied in Vienna 50 years ago. On a whim I strolled along the canal to see if it might still be there. Glory be! It's been there since 1886, and it's still there! Delicious ice cream and a flood of memories. My sister declared her Lemon ice... More

We had a rest at This place to have some ice cream. We ordered an apple juice and a big ice cream, when asking for some ice cube (coz the apple juice doesn't come with ice in it, and it is 95F), the lady starring at me like she never heard of "asking for ice" or she don't know what... More
