Moto a noisy view over the danube

This is a restaurant located in a boat just off Schwedenplatz. The catch is that you have a fine view on the Danube. The interior is nice and you sit in very low chairs at table. The policy is to dim the light progressively as it gets later so at 2300 hr you are , I would say in the... read more

The female waitress was surly, the menu had little choice, ok if you want a burger or sandwich although it looked ok for breakfast. We shared a club sandwich and a drink each but paid almost as much as we'd paid for dinner the previous evening. Whilst the restaurant was pleasant, the location wasn't to write home about, overlooking the... More

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. Went the Viennese route and ate Austrian fare, well cooked, hearty portions, fresh. Service good. Went at night, watching the river go by was hypnotic. Get a window table.

Lunch for two on Saturday, overlooking the Danube Canal, drinking aperitifs of local sparkling rose... Great Starters of baked feta cheese with red pepper sorbet, innovative and delicious. Mains of "goatfish" with pumpkin, and peppadella with asparagus....desserts of buttermilk pancakes with pear and caramel sorbet. Bottle of Sweigelt Red to accompany a great lunch

I had a business lunch at Motto am Fluss and I was very pleasantly surprised. When approaching the restaurant I thought this would be very touristy with expensive and mediocre food. I was completely wrong: the restaurant was attended by locals and the food was quite nice. View on the water and within walking distance to the historic town. Airy... More

Excelent place for any kind of occasion, whether business, family or friends. I was here a couple of times and tried all options: bar, restaurant and the coffee shop/terrace. With each occasion I was impressed by the staff (very welcoming and careful but not intrusive...which is a big plus and I always appreciate this). The prices are reasonable considering the... More

I go here all the time for business lunches and it is perfectly fine for that. Service is impeccable, food is consistently very good (not amazing or creative in any way). The atmosphere - is very nice. You have the feeling of being on an old fashioned luxury ocean liner- it is even nicer at night. All in all- a... More

The restaurant is very good, offering excellent cocktails in addition to great food. The Café is also wonderful, with some really good desserts and good music. Sometimes there is a even a DJ playing. This place is ideal for breakfast, lunch, brunch, dinner, quick bite or simply an afternoon lemonade and cake ;-)

Located just next to the river, designed like a boat; a nice restaurant bar and cafeteria. Very lively restaurant, good local crowd. Elegantly designed atmosphere. Very warm welcome, and throughout the bar and the restaurant personnel were just outstanding. Had salmon starter, was delicious and fresh and trout for main. It was very nice too. Enjoyed with a local white... More
