Good location, friendly service and good food. Mum in the Kitchen, Dad in charge of the drinks and money and daughter running the tables meant a deep and sincere interest in giving a good service and good food. The wine is made by the family too! Well worth a visit!

We happened across this family run restaurant after we had seen the Lipizzaner horses at the Spanish Riding School. The welcome was great, a lovely old restaurant with authentic pictures and great food and beer! We ate at Hofmeister on a warm and beautiful Easter Sunday. We sat in the outdoor tables, which gave a nice atmosphere. We ate "grillplatte" and drank house wine. The wine was served with flies. Five in mine and two in my companions glas. The "grillplatte" was a bad joke. All of the food was from supermarket freezer. Just warmed up in a Holzgrille. The value / experience ratio was terrible. Points for service and history but the food was a disgrace.
