We were tired of the Viennese food and asked our hotel for the name of a nice cozy Italian restaurant in walking distance. We were staying at the Hilton Plaza Vienna. Marcus recommended this restaurant and we are so glad he did. We started with the mixed salad and the ceasar salad. Delicious. The dressing was yum and the lettuce... More

We visited la cantinetta three times in one week. We had wunderfull diners in a romantic atmosphere. The food and recommended wines matched perfectly. The service was very good, but could take a bit longer when it was very busy, who cares if you are having a good time!

We visited this place and we expected something special according to trip advisor's reviews. However, there was nothing special about it, the pasta were well cooked but nothing to remember and the salad was OK. I would definitely not recommend the place to anyone.

We had a dinner in Cantinetta with a group of friends, it is in a very central location. We were lucky to arrive a little bit ahead of the peak hour (around 7 PM) and got reasonably fast service. When the place got full though later we noticed that some of the other tables got visibly upset about the speed... More

While visiting Austria this May, we stumbled upon this beautiful Italian gem in the heart of Vienna. Our host, Antonio, was the most gracious and made our dining experience very memorable. Food was excellent, so much so, that we went to dine there the very next day again. We had just come from visiting Italy and dinning in Cantinetta was... More

I choose this restaurant, because I found a advertise in vienna kaarte guide and I wanted to check italian restaurant near the city center. I ordered bruchetta with tomatoes and tagiatelle with mashrooms. Bruchetta was very tasty, but microscopic. Just three small slices of bread with tomato and onion. the price was 8 euros, definnitly too much. The pasta was... More

This restaurant services surprisingly good Italian food with nice wine in a lovely setting. The bread served immediately was fresh and crusty with a tasty olive oil. The grilled calamari was some of the best I've had served along with some grilled shrimp, potatoes and spinach. The meal was on the expensive side but it was very enjoyable.

Our hotel was nearby and we just stopped in for dinner. I would go back. It was pretty expensive (perhaps not by Vienna standards), but worth it. I had a grilled shrimp and calamari entrée which was very good...the shrimp and calamari seemed a little skimpy for the price, but the potato dish that came with it was spectacular. I'd... More

We had a wonderful thin crust pizza here and a bottle of wine. Very generous toppings and baked in a stone oven. Service was prompt and friendly. English is spoken.
