Too much food, good food

Had the two mezza menus, the meat and the fish one. They were very tasty, and typical of Greece. We enjoyed it very much with good ouzo.

I stopped in on a Sunday night because it was still open. I ordered the spanakopita and the yiouvetsi. The spanakopita was soggy and greasy. The yiouvetsi was made with beef, not lamb and it was over -seasoned with oregano. I guess you get what you pay for.

My husband & I were so sick of the meat and potato meals we had been eating on this trip that we were happy to try this restaurant closed to our hotel. We were trying to make sense of the menu in German posted outside when the waiter came out and explained them to us. We ended up ordering a... More

It is located in an area where you do not have really dozens of choices. Good vegetables and acceptable grilled fish. It was not fresh, as the waiter told me but was not too bad. Reasonable price

Huge choice of dishes. good food, good deserts and reasonable prices. In a nice quiet residential area. Service was fine. They have a big undercover outdoor eating area too. The staff speak English and there are English menus too.

We live in Vienna and found this restaurant on a weekend afternoon out-and-about, and are happy we stopped in for lunch. Our starters included olives, halloumi, and grape leaves; of the three, the halloumi was our favorite while the other two tasted good, albeit ordinary. My grilled octopus was not the usual squid tubes but rather the tentacles, perfectly prepared... More

We have eaten here twice this week. The first night we flew in from Seattle and had just checked into our apartment with a two year old. It was a short walk and we were very happy we did! The food was excellent and the staff very helpful. They have menus in both German and English. The 2nd time I... More

This local Greek restaurant was close to our accommodation and we decided to go here on Christmas Day for dinner. The food was superb! We both had predominantly lamb dishes, one with souvlaki and the other a lamb dish with haloumi and spinach. We also had a drink here a few nights before and both times the service was excellent,... Extensive menu, almost too long, but the mixed platter I had was disappointing: lukewarm and bland. Wouldn't recommend or return in a hurry. Staff friendly but a bit brusque.

We were at the "outpost" of Rembetiko at Copa Cagrana. I ordered an entire sole from the grill, it came fried not grilled, was tiny and didn't taste good.

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighborhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighborhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
