My wife and I enjoyed a perfectly made veal schnitzel (it's not that big so we needed to order one each). The apple strudel was just as great (my wife said it was the best she ever had....but then again she probably ate no more than a handful of strudels in restaurants ever). Would go there again once I'm in... More

On our last visit, we had the ?pleasure of a rather erratic zither player but he appears to have been pensioned off. This time, we listened to the wind trying to destroy the awning in front until a waitress wound it in. The menu is quite short compared with many, which gives me comfort that the food doesn't come from... More

Just a few steps away from the Albertina Platz and the Staatsoper, restaurant Fuhrich has good traditional Austrian food. Schnitzels bigger than dinner plates, goulash, sausages, all the old favourites. There was probably a good selection of other things on the menu but that wasn't what we were there for. A satisfying dinner followed by the in house apple strudel... More

Our last evening in Vienna it started raining and we looked for a restaurant in the area. Fuhrich looked inviting and decided to give it a try. And we were glad we did! We were seated immediately although we had no reservations. It was early evening on Friday and enough tables were already occupied. We noticed that the waiters were... More

We found this lovely restaurant by accident based on the fact that it was wet and cold and it was the highest-rated on Trip advisor within 5 minute walk of our hotel... We were on the lookout for a warm, cosy, unpretentious place serving some great, quality, authentic Viennese comfort food... Which pretty much describes the Fuerich...add in some super... More

We found this nice restaurant walking in the streets of Vienna, close to Albertina museum. We immediately appreciated the cosy atmosphere of this place, thanks to the kindness of the waiters and to the sweet music played by a nice old man. We have chosen Wiener Schnitzel (veal) and beef filet stripes in cream and wild mushroom sauce: both of... More

The paperdelle was fantastic. The cream of tomato was very good, too. We tried the Sacher torte and the apple streudel. The apple streudel was just okay but I am not sure what it should taste like in Vienna. The kids loved the Sacher torte. The servers were pleasant enough but we had to flag them down for anything we... More

Many thanks for the nice 4 points on Trip Advisor. For your understanding...the 2,50 Euro for the couvert (this is an international and usual habit in quality restaurants) are including: bread, high quality olive oil, vegetable sticks and the table set. Thats not expensive. Please understand, that we also do have the (very high) costs of the cleaning of the... More

Happened upon Fuhrich looking for a quick dinner before the ballet at the Opera House. We had not researched on TA, and I'm surprised to see a 4* rating. The food was filling but average. The tomato soup and creme brulee were the best part of the meal. The entrees just ok. There's a charge for bread (2.50 euro per... More

Food was excellent - fresh and well prepared, moderately priced. Ambiance made for a very relaxing dinner - quiet, attractive and very pleasant background music. Waiters were friendly, helpful and all spoke English. We enjoyed the experience so much the first time that we returned for dinner again a few days later and enjoyed it just as much the second...
