Lovely Schnitzell and great service

This restaurant was recommended by our Hotel as being the location for the best schnitzel in Vienna - and it was very, very good. Excellent service, friendly staff and great location just off the main shopping street. Slightly more expensive than other sources of Schnitzel but worth it! You may... read more

We had been in Vienna for 4 days and went to this restaurant at the recommendation of the hotel concierge. We had 6 people so tasted a selection of food. Everyone started with tomato soup which all agreed was great, very tasty. We then ordered Wiener Snitzels, Chicken Cordon Blus and a Bratwurst. The veal and chicken were exceptional. The... More

Excellent food in a great location just one block from the Vienna Opera. Had steak tartare which was outstanding. Well priced with good service. Chatted with people at next table...they were from Great Britain and were return visitors.

Excellent cuisine with with thoughtful innovations. Your wine cooler is a transparent plastic handbag with ice! Excellent aperitifs. Good wine list. Run by a young couple. Offers classic Viennese dishes but these are sometimes de-constructed or re-constructed. Well worth a visit. We went there on our Hotel's recommendation and were not disappointed!

Very efficient and friendly service here. Happy to speak in English for those who need it and the food arrived very quickly. Having said that they have is plants of space before dessert and coffee so the food has time to go down. Quality of food and quantity was excellent and I would definitely come back again

We had a light dinner there last night after a long day sightseeing. We had Hungarian goulash soup, one beer and strudel. The service was good and we were aware of the cover charge however the strudel was soggy and pastry undercooked, maybe we were just unlucky, but never the less disappointing. I should have complained but didn't want to... More

Thank you for your feedback. Sorry you didn't give us the feedback about the things they didn't fit immediately. So I can't check what went wrong anymore. Your feedback is important to me. But as you wrote the food was good, only the strudel you didn't like? Regards Petra Führich More

Dinner was an obvious choice - a typical Austrian restaurant with some authentic Viennese cuisine. The Fuhrich was recommended by the hotel reception and this is heartily endorsed. The schnitzel and chicken livers were superb. The wine (an Austrian cab sauv) was excellent and the strudel was far too morish. The waitress's English was excellent. To top it off, the... More

We had just arrived in Vienna and started walking. After taking photos with Strauss and Mozart statues in nearby parks, we randomly stopped here. We chose to eat outside and it was noisy, to be expected. The tables are almost in the street. Also, there is parking next to the end table, and since we were sitting about 2 feet... More

Staying in Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
