Christmas dinner

This was our second time spending Christmas at this lovely restaurant. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I got the pike with potatoes and veggies. It was delicious. My husband ordered the schnitzel and strudel. He said it was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is lovely. Last year we happened... read more

We orginally went to Cristina Rojik restaurant just blocks away from Fuhrich. When we arrived at Cristina Rojik at 4 pm they had a private party reserving the restaurant till 830pm. The owner of the restaurant saw our dissapointment because we had eaten there just a few days before and liked it very much. He personally recommended Fuhrich and called... More

Usually we try to avoid restaurants that are located nearby famous touristic attractions. The common traits of such places are overpriced menu and drinks, average food and inattentive service. We visited Fuhrich just because we were short of time and needed dinner in the center of Vienna in the afternoon, when the majority of decent local restaurants were closed. Unfortunately,... More

By accident, we wandered by the Fuhrich on December 31 and decided to have lunch there. Then dinner on New Year's Eve and lunch on January 1. Their beef tartare was the best I had ever eaten. The menu offered all variety of Austrian cuisine. The staff was generous and attentive. Every dish served was superb. The location is central... More

What an enchanting, cozy Christmas Eve in Vienna. So pleased we found this charming spot. The food and service were sublime. Perfect timing throughout. Would definitely recommend and will return if we find our selves back in Vienna.

A great location, just off the Karntner Strasse, We visited on a Sunday after a concert so it was relatively quiet. The food and service was good. As usual, the portions were quite copious and so we shared a starter, something we did frequently in Vienna. An extensive wine list and the waiter was helpful in recommending local wines. Would... Staff was excellent, food was even better. But the warm apple strudel is unbeatable. A must visit when in Vienna! Close to the opera house and Stephenplatz.

Went looking for authentic Vienna food and steak. Everything we had was very good. Wiener schnitzel excellent, steak well prepared and great cut. The service was excellent and we liked the atmosphere. Owner was in restaurant and showing great attention to detail. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely go again on next trip to Vienna.

The only thing letting the Fuhrich down was the service... It was a certain 5* with great service. Unfortunately, we didn't get great service, we got slow, take all day service. Fortunately we weren't in a rush! My goulash with potato dumplings was superb, as was my wife's schnitzel! The strudel for dessert was one of the better strudels we'd... More

Not sure how to sum up the experience...the menus are served with a flashlight and states Welcome to Vienna!, staff has perfect English, the coffee is served out of a Nespresso machine, and there's cheesy American cover tubes in the background. I couldn't spot a single local. BUT the food is authentic and good, and prices are moderate. It was... More

Dear guests, thanks am lot for taking the time writing us on TripAdvisor about your stay at restaurant Führich. Our music changes every day here, sometimes we also play local songs, too. Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
