Wonderful desserts!

Visited just after lunch. Loved the apfel streussel with a cup of espresso. A decent environment; not too old fashioned nor too modern. Very friendly waiters and visitors. Right at the center of the city. A must visit!

We visited for both take away and dine in experiences and neither were a let down. Delicious cakes/desserts/sweets. Wonderful chocolate and really good coffee! The staff are also friendly and helpful. It was busy each time we visited but that didn't ruin our experience. Well worth a visit even if it's just for a takeaway macaron.

Visited with my husband and my 15 month old, as I am gluten free and heard this place was worth a visit. It definitely was! The mains were lovely - not a massive range of gf options but the one I had - chicken with rosemary, was gorgeous. The cakes are amazing, plenty of gf options. Speedy and impeccable service.... We went there for a light lunch and got a very good one: excellent service, high quality of food and reasonable price (soup, main course and something sweet, with water, 13 euros each). Traditional and recommendable.

One of a chain of Oberlaa cafes and I hope the others were as good as this - cake and chocolate shop at the front, café for breakfasts, lunches and early suppers at the back. Very nice waiters, lovely food and busy atmosphere. Very popular so you might have to queue but people don't generally stay very long so there's... More

We wanted to visit another restaurant, couldn't find it so we ended up searching for alternative, there we settled in Oberlaa, which apparently is a pleasant surprise. We ordered the breaded chicken fillet and thumbs up to the potato leaf salad which was really yummy. We also ordered a breakfast set, the sausages tasted heavenly good. I got myself a... More

I have been to Oberlaa several times over the years, mainly for lunch, admittedly half of the time as Plan B when Le Bol next door was too full... I have never been disappointed and set menus of the day as well as à la carte options are always tasty and good value for money. What Konditorei Oberlaa is REALLY... More

It's a very nice place for lunch, they have a variety of meals including 2 types of menu. I think their Ceasar salad is perfect and their desserts are beyond comparison together with reasonable prices. We were satisfied

Popped in here for lunch during a day exploring Vienna. I visited the branch near the cathedral. Very popular and had to queue for a little while. Shared a table with an Austrian lady who told me she always lunched there when visiting Vienna. The vegetable strudel with herb sauce was delicious and the atmosphere was buzzing. Apart from a... Neighborhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the center. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
