Located in the centre, along a serene street, this restaurant allows for excellent limited range. The panfried, varieties, the potatoes, the boiled stuff. Excellent range of Veltliners. It was the indoors facilities it was cosy. I did not check the outdoor seating if an. Responsive attendants, well versed and cooperative. Although it falls into the category of the local with... I was invited by friends for dinner during the recent holidays at this restaurant located walking distance from St Stephen Cathedral in Vienna, close to its sister restaurant 3 Hacken. I had a main dish which consisted of the Veal schnitzel with potato puree followed by the pancakes (Topfenknoederl) which were outstanding! The staff and service were very good and... More

We've been there several times for a drink in the evening and once for lunch. They serve typical Austrian food combined with a huge wine list. The food was OK and reasonably priced, we asked the waiter to recommend us a wine and it was very good. The overall atmosphere was warm and casual, the waiters are polite, fast and... More

A short menu combined with a massive wine list, all at reasonable prices in a relaxed, informal setting. Ideal for brunches; great for kids as well.

We ate in the back room surrounded by the wine. Service was impeccable. The food was OMG Austrian good. I had blood sausage carpaccio with horseradish and roast goose with red cabbage. It was the best goose I've ever had: crispy skin, tender leg and thigh, and au jus to accompany it. The local wines were sensational. I highly recommend... More

What makes this place stand apart is the perfect service and the charming setting. The food is excellent standard Viennese fare, done well. But the waiter's discretion and the gorgeous room really make it an exceptional experience. It's not cheap, but it's worth it (it IS an expensive neighborhood...). I'd definitely return and would have if their kitchen didn't close... More

We came here after the sister restaurant couldn't accommodate us. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated as an old bistro. There are hundreds of choices of wine which you can see on display. Service was quite quick however the waiter was a patronizing teenager and very rude. The food took a very long time to come however when it arrived... More

We were only in Vienna for one night and wanted to stay close to the hotel. This restaurant was recommended by the hotel front desk staff, and was an excellent recommendation. Menus are VERY thick and in numerous languages. No matter where you may be visiting from, you will probably find a menu page in which you can read. We... More

A sure bet if you are looking for typically Austrian food. A wide range of truly excellent wines as well as draft Budweiser (original) and Zwettler Pils. Try the Hungarian Gulasch/Backhendl and/or Salzburger Nockerln.

Ended up here on a very rainy day after not being able to get into our first choice. This restaurant was the one they recommended. It was a good find. Service was very good and food was of a good quality.
