Nice soup

Went here and ate the gulasch soup. Was cheap and good. Hard to get a table. It is divided in to a smoking and non-smoking room.

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant based on the recommendation from our tour guide. We asked for a great low key local place. He said that he would go to this place with the boys however probably wouldn't take a date there however he said it was delicious and local. My girlfriend said that it sounds good so... More

A typically local cafe - with posters on the walls and chairs that are a bit unsteady. Smiling waitor. The hot orange punch tasted very good, and so did the topfenstrudl. There are to rooms separated by a sliding glass door, separating the smoking and the non smoking area. Unfortunately the door slides open quite often, so you smell of... More

My wife and I have been to this cafe twice in the last week and on both occasions, it was absolutely excellent! Great coffee, good food, fantastic service and a really relaxed atmosphere.

Went in for some coffee and lunch. The interior is super cool, the walls are covered in local posters and it has a neat ambiance/atmosphere. Having lived in Czech Republic where goulash is known for being nothing super special, I went ahead and had the goulash soup and was super pleased!! It was delicious and different than what I'm used... More

According to the positive experience I had in the past, this time I decided to have lunch. You can decide either to order a daily menu at the price of Euro 6,90 (for example mondays Wienerschitzler mit Kartoffelsalad) or a dish (it costs about 10/12 Euros). Beverages isn't included. Some desserts are available (Apfelstrudel is recommanded). All dishes ordered were... More

I popped in for lunch after walking around for 5 hours in 35 degree weather. At first, I was going to turn around because of the amount of smoke in the room. Then, I spied the non-smoking section in the back. Glad I did. The service was relatively swift and the food soon followed. I was happy to here a... More

We tasted there a very delicious gulash and the apfestrudel was really good. You should go there for a meal, especially if you're walkin' around Wien's city centre. The service was nice and the price honest too. Abbiamo assaggiato lì un gulash delizioso e l'apfestrudel era davvero buonissimo. Consiglio di andarci, specialmente se si sta girando per il centro della... More

The coffee was really good, but the rest really bad. So loud, unfriendly staff. Cant say anything about the food though because we didnt want to eat in this crappy atmosphere! It was so loud because it was crowded only with tourists. Locals wouldnt go to this place. Not recommandable from our experience!

This is one of the places in Vienna that you simply have to visit. It is a rather scruffy cafe with art posters all over the walls. Food selection is limited but the reason you come here is for the ambience. Smoking area is in the front, and if you can manage it, then that is the area you should... More
