Description: Retaining the true atmosphere and tradition of the Vienna beisel...
Retaining the true atmosphere and tradition of the Vienna beisel, Kuchlmasterei oozes historic charm. Littered with eclectic artefacts and boasting a selection of dramatically decorated rooms Kuchlmasterei is somewhere where dining isnt just a quick meal its an experience. In the Garden of Eden frescoed walls are set off by leather studded seating for an almost medieval feel. Panoramic windows offer stunning views of the inner courtyard where a Renaissance well and waterfall add a dramatic feel to the green and sunny seating area. On menu rustic meets elegance with Viennese dishes such as suckling pig a favourite while Mediterranean fans are also catered for and an on site lobster aquarium offers unsurpassed freshness and flavour for seafood fans.

Very good wine cellar.

10/10 food and service, wine cellar is a must see. We stayed in the niky apartments above this restaurant. A real interesting experience all in all clean, high standards and very quirky. Very close to swiss beach, a man made beach on the banks of the river, open during the summer months.

Been here 3 times now over several years ... business wise ... but I don't think I would book here for personal reasons. Food, atmosphere ... ok, more than ok even, don't want to be negative but really overdone on every aspect. Interior over the top, food overrated, it is good but it misses spunk ... By all means, try... More

I have eaten all over the world and have experienced many great culinary moments. I must say that Kuchlmeisterei provided the entire experience perfectly. We had just come from Paris and had been to all of the "highest recommended" restaurants in Wien. Our concierge had set up the reservation to his favorite local spot. The decor is wonderful throughout using... More

I have eaten there just once, but it was a great experience. Although I am not a big meat eater I ordered a steak and it was delicous. The best I ever had. It melted in my mouth, really great. The restaurant is decorated in an old style, typicall Viennese I would say. The waiter a little bit arrogant, but... More
