What a delight to find this restaurant in our neighborhood!! Nice atmosphere, quiet enough to converse, and we were pleased with our dinner. We were not very adventurous as we both had the wiener schnitzel with pommes frites...but that with a grande cold beer kept us happy. Reasonably priced, nice outdoor sitting area...what is there not to like!!

We had the best wiener snitzel here. We ordered a mixed salad to share between two along withe the snitzel and potato salad. The snitzel was brumbies well and tender, potato salad had a lovely taste and mixed salad we ordered was fresh with a nice dressing. Would definitely order this again and highly recommended. The waiter was friendly.

We wanted to go to one of the well-known "Schnitzel"-Places like Figlmüller but were too tired. So after shopping we stayed at Hoofbräu and we didn't miss out on one of the better Schnitzels. It was like it should be, hot and rippled like it should be. Add a cool beer and you are a happy man!

It was our last night in Vienna. Tired but hungry, we decided to stay local to our hotel. Once again, we found a nice place to enjoy a meal. The price was right and the food excellent. My choice was pork with sauerkraut and a dumpling! Wonderful and no room for dessert. The service was attentive and once again we... More

Stopped in Hoofbrau to escape the torrential rain. It was early event on a threat and the place was deserted. A very big space with my self and tell other customers. I speak minimal German but managed to order a beer and a salad with prawns and mozzarella, which sounds odd, however turned out to be delicious and filling -... More

1) Dining atmosphere: Thanks to the amazing interior design and well-selected background music, Hoofbrau provides you with a romantic dining environment. 2) Food: My boyfriend and I followed the recommendations from Tripadvisor, and we enjoyed our meal so much. Specifically, we are particularly satisfied with the sliced beef with cream. Oh, if you love beer, you must also try the... More

We had a great time at Hoofbrau. The service was excellent with helpful advice from our waiter. Food was perfect! We sampled Beef Stroganoff and Turkey and Vegetables. Outdoor dining was quiet and relaxing!

The place looks nice. The service is courteous, but slow - even if the place is mostly empty. The portions are prettly large - I could barely finih a meal with no dessert. The food - well, probably it's a matter of taste, but: - Potato soup tastes like powder mushroom soup with some bits of potato added to the... More

The restaurant is very easy to be missed. It is a little bit aside from one of the main streets of the city center of Vienna. We saw it by chance. The interior is very traditional, cosy and the meal just excellent. We ordered veal with sour cabbage and beer.Meal was delicious, waiters - prompt and polite and the prices - too low according... It looked almost incredible how quiet place it was when we entered the restaurant at about 1 pm after hours of shopping in the crowded MariaHilfer strasse! Food was a common pub quality, big portions, service slow but very polite, beer very good.
